Owner description: 'The Blood and Tears Walk' has a cult reputation with massive 'word of mouth'. Going for fourteen years, it is one of the best known London walks and has earned the right to be called a horror classic. Guide Declan McHugh has been on television and radio and many thousands come each year to learn about Jack the Ripper, other London serial killers, witchcraft, executions, conspiracy theories etc. Meets outside the only exit at Barbican station and ends two hours later at Holborn underground station.

Amazing walk with shocking true stories thrillingly told, kind of creepy and spooky! We loved it and you don't have seen London, when you miss the tour! Go for it! :)

“Fascinating Tour of London's Dark Side”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2012

Declan offers a very interesting tour of London's grim past! This tour will take you to parts of the city you'd never see else wise. Touching on crime (Jack the Ripper), the metaphysical (Doctor Dee), and bio and natural disasters (plague, Great Fire), this tour will bring you to back alleys of London the average tourist would never discover on their own.

“A lot of Horror, History, and Great Fun!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2012

Declan McHugh will take you on a psychological journey of the dark corners of London. His tour is very different from other similar tours we've been on. He took the time to get the group in a mental state to fully experience horrifically bloody London. We didn't just walk the main streets, we walked dark alleys that were quite frightening once he told us what happened in the exact spot which we were standing. We really enjoyed his theories on some of the dark tales and even purchased his book to find out more. Do take this tour and do buy the book. You won't be sorry and you will be scared.

“Great fun and full of interesting facts”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2012

A great night out. Declan's enthusiasm is as infectious as the plague! I learnt more about London's history in one night than I did at school. Well recommended, though bear in mind that to pack everything you need to walk at a fair pace between the 'attractions'. Just begun reading his book - it's packed with even more facts and many myth busters, a bargain.

“Tour was great, really enjoyed it”

The tour was very interesting and insightful. Really enjoyed the interaction and in depth knowledge Declan had about serial killers from the past - a must do whilst in London!
