“few days break in london”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2013

the hallways to rooms are very noisy , and i do not apprieciate when i have a' do not disturb' sign on the door a maid walking into the room as i am taking a shower !,
the residents bar is open to the public , and on a saturday evening the bar is awful , music blaring ,dark and packed with people obviously moving onto night clubs after their drinks ,we wanted to meet a few friends for a drink but could not take the noise so left to find a quieter place

Room Tip: we booked a superior room and when we arrived it was so small even the porter commented !, when we...

If your after a central hotel with decent levels of service and a great happening bar the Mayfair hotel is it. I spent one night here on business and enjoyed my stay, rooms are a good size for central London with modern decor.

Spent my weekend in London for some pampering and I must say must say Mayfair did not disappoint me. Very spacious room with lovely bathroom. There was an allocated lift that directly take you to the beautiful spa. You can even be in your robe and slippers if you are not worried being seen on them at the hotel corridor :). Lovely restaurant and hassle free check-in and check-out.

Stayed here as we were attending an event in Mayfair and needed a nearby hotel. It’s quite an impersonal hotel – very pleasant, but in a characterless sort of way. The room was perfectly pleasant, but nothing special for a 5 star hotel. Really disappointing to find captive shower gel, shampoo and soap in the bathroom – more like a budget chain than a 5 star central London hotel. Come on Mayfair – step up the standards!

Quaint living rooms, very Dowton Abbey style, std British fare
Nice 1 desk Concierge & OK lobby
Unique upstairs area & elevator 2.
Many celeb pics dot upstairs area
Have home attached for guests

Downstairs dining is unique, very 60s Mod feel, many mirrors & serve huge breakfasts alone.

Room Tip: choose nearby home next door, more privacy if needed.

Was taken there by my other half for a Theatre break (Joseph -Great Show), room nice staff very efficient, bar average but what was a major let down no pool or jacuzzi and on Sunday morning we came down for breakfast (traditional Full English a must), and was told they were busy and there was no room in the restaurant so they offered us a Continental breakfast in the bar !!!!!!! Wrong! After much complaining and waiting 30 min we go into the restaurant..... All's well that ends well but not what was promised, ordered or paid for.

Room Tip: The hotel is boxed in on all sides so no view available. It is near Nobo which is a plus!
