I stay in quite a few London hotels on my travels yet this is the first one that has stumped me in terms of reviewing it.
Booked for £62 for a Saturday night on laterooms. Bargain.
Difficult to find once you're off the tube and is certainly not a 10 minute walk. Is served by the number 70 bus though which stops right outside, that's one to remember. It's also next to a morrissons which is useful.
Anyway, at check in I was asked for ID. Okay, fair enough. I wasn't however prepared for it to be photocopied several times. I have to now trust my identity will not be stolen.
Checked in, attempted to get to our room but there were a pair of legs at the top of the stairs. It turned out to be a girl eating Chinese sat at the top of the stairs rather than someone passed out which I half expected. Had no trouble thankfully but I did feel on edge.
Room was fine. Average room. Cosy bathroom. Not perfectly clean but I've stayed in worse places. Bed was nice and comfortable and extra pillows were provided. Always a winner.
Room got very hot, especially for October, but not unbearable. Towels were slightly too small but not a huge issue.
Skipped breakfast but it seemed very basic as we passed on the way out.
Overall, the oddest place I've stayed but managed a good nights sleep. Would stay again if on a budget.
