“Good facilities and location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2013

This hotel is suitably located near the Paddington Station and Paddington Central. The rooms are clean and the hotel is equipped with sauna, swimming pool and gym (free of charge).
Breakfast is offered with a lot of varieties and worth to pay for.
The disadvantage is only the car park is quite far, located outside the Paddington Central and charged at fairly on a high side.

Many thanks for your review and for pointing out the quality of the hotel and in particular of our breakfast.

It's true we do not have parking facilities and are reliant on public car parks which in London are usually quite expensive.

With the good connection of the hotel to the tube and the close proximity of Paddington, King's Cross and Marylebone stations, I would recommend to anyone to come by public transport as it would be easy and economical compared to the APCOA car park on Bishops Bridge Road (closest one to the hotel).

I look forward to welcoming you again soon,

Kind regards,

Guillaume Rapin

I was in this hotel for four days. Thanks to other members of Tripadvisor I chose this hotel. Service of the reception was good and promt. Man at the desk of breakfast room was very helpfull and always friendly. Cleaning of the room was really good work everyday, thank you.
The room itself was spcier than I expected. View to railways, but did not bother me at all as I was aware of that in advance. Double windows made it soundproof. Bed was comfy and television was in good size.

What I always value most is deacentx breakfast. It really makes me into bad mood If I dont't get good breakfast in the mornings. No worry of that in this hotel. Lots of things to choose from. Fruits, jogourts, nice breads, croissants, fried eggs, scrambled eggs, pancakes...

To cut the long story short, I would come back to this hotel.

This is a fairly typical modern hotel - a bit characterless but comfortable. There is a smallish pool, which was quiet when we visited though could get crowded. There is also a gym, sauna, and steam room. The men's changing rooms has 6 lockers so you get the impression they're not expecting to get very busy. Breakfast was very good, with lots of choice.

Other reviews seem to think the access to public transport is good, but I have reservations about that. However, if you're happy to travel everywhere by taxi, you can stop reading now....

There is an entrance to the tube station about 5 mins walk away, at the northern end of Paddington station, but there is another entrance at the southern end which is more than 10 mins away, and when we caught a circle line tube, that's where we came out. At the end of a busy day, a 15 minute walk back to the hotel isn't great.

Paddington station is about 10 minutes walk away.

There are bus stops on Bishop's Bridge Road, near the junction with Gloucester Terrace, which are about 8 minutes away. When some building work at Paddington is finished (due to complete in 2013), buses will run along Eastbourne Terrace and the bus stops will be closer.

For comparison: I previously stayed at the Euston Novotel, which is 4 mins walk from Kings Cross (tube and main line), and has bus stops within a few metres. But no pool!

Room Tip: We were on the 4th floor, overlooking the railway line. The windows had three layers of glass, so t...

Thank you for your review of the hotel.

Location and access can be challenging the first time you stay withus, however if you exit Paddington station through the Hammersmith and City Line tube station entrance, you are only a short walk to the hotel, following the canal.

I hope you will choose to stay with us again and when doing so, please visit the novotel website to benefit from the best rate guarantee.

I look forward to welcoming you again soon,

The access to the hotel from the Heathrow Express is the primary reason, coupled with it being a great hotel. Have stayed at others in London, but find the staff to have always been extremely courteous.

I was challenged to find a good hotel near Paddington Station, which should to give us more advantages during our weeklong stay in London. I chose Novotel London Paddingtan, after a a couple of days long searching and reading, and don't sorry. Location - 5-10 minutes walk from Paddington Station and the subway. You can go and walk to Hyde Park and Oxford Street or Natural History Museum. It gives you everything you need - a wonderful staff and very good service, cleanliness, room with all amenities, great breakfast. We received a room with view to the train lines, but despite being close to them, the double windows system is too effective and no noise to disturb you. For me the cost quality is excellent and I would recommend this hotel to anyone, including families with teenagers, who want to use it as a starting point for tourism in London and its environs.

Great central location, 5 mins walk from Paddington station, in a quiet modern square, the hotel is very clean, the staff are helpfull and the service in the Bar and Breakfast was very good, even though the Saturday morning Breakfast service was very full and stretched them to the limit.
rooms and leisure facility very clean the only problem is the cost of hotels in London.

Many thanks for your review of the hotel. I was pleased to read that you had an enjoyable stay with us and hope you will return soon.

With regards to breakfast, we are usually indeed busy on Saturday and Sunday morning, in particular during shool holidays or bank holiday week ends, however our team is fully geared up and organised to deliver a consistent service throughour the morning, however it will undoubt edly look busier than during the week.

I look forward to welcoming you again soon,

Kind regards,
