This 2 month new restaurant located in the heart of Kensington is a wonderful spot for a quiet and delicious lunch or dinner at an incredibly reasonable price. They have a 3 course lunch for only 16.50 pounds. Open 7 days a week, you can indulge your urge for a great Italian meal on the spur of the moment. Of particular note are their fish and shelfish dinners. Their fish is delivered fresh daily and is fresh. They are happy to make dishes to suit particular tastes or needs since everything is made to order and fresh. The have fabulous risotto as well as pastas or on the lighter side, grilled or steamed fish. I love it because they have- gasp- vegetables! Something that seems a challenge to find at certain other restaurants. Their starters are also fantastic- a different daily soup, salad with pear and rocket, carpaccio of fish and more. The wines are refreshingly affordable, not to mention delicious, by the glass or bottle, especially compared to other Kensington restaurants. My favorite is their red Montalpulciano. There are three distinct dining areas..the front area by the window, nice if one is dining alone and wishes to watch the action on the street, the rear situated under the stunning glass roof, bringing in light even on grey London days and a cozy and discrete private room upstairs in a classic Victorian sitting room with fireplace and wood floors. The service is both warm and attentive without being over bearing. Try it and like me, you'll be hooked.
