“Great location but worn out and noisy hotel”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 days ago NEW

The hotel has the perfect location but is really worn out and has really bad windows - we had to sleep with earplugs... Great potential though should the hotel owner change the windows and maintain the rooms better...

Room Tip: If you want to sleep, try to get a room not facing the street - for sure not 101...

This was my first stay here and I was a bit surprised to be booked into an apartment for an overnight business stay. That said, it was very good and, apart from a little confusion on check in, onsite staff were very helpful.

It's well situated in South Kensington, 2 mins from Gloucester Riad tube and 5 mins or so from South Kensington tube. There's a good range of shops, pubs and restaurants close by.

My apartment was on the fourth floor. The left is very slow so I took the stairs after my initial arrival.

The apartment itself is certainly spacious enough - bedroom, living room with a little kitchenette and shower room/toilet. All very clean and comfortable. And very quiet.

For breakfast, I nipped out to the Cafe Nero on the corner. Would be happy to stay again.

Stayed in apartment 401 for a girlie weekend, 3 of us and the apartments were fabulous, spacious, central (50 yards to nearest tube station) could not have been better.

Granted some paint touch-ups could be done in the bathroom but not at all a problem, it was a joy to do what we wanted and the kitchen had everything you would need. Very up to date albeit the TV's were in questionable positions, not that we used them much so not a problem.

Slept like a dream the bed was so good, one of us had the fold away bed and they said this was also very comfortable, the bedroom was so big we put the fold away in there and still had plenty of room.

Would definitely stay again and for the 3 of us was much cheaper than any hotel.

Room Tip: We had room 401, no issues at all. it is on the road side but being 4 floors up we were not disturb...

It is a good location hotel but a neglected one. Not worth the money they charge for. It was disappointing to see the room with broken walls and thorn sofa, but it was much more disappointed to hear the reaction: "I will tell the manager" without any further further act/reaction until the day we left.

We had tickets for Royal Albert Hall and wanted somewhere close, this was ideal. Nice size room with separate kitchen with all electrical goods we needed for our breakfast. A very nice bathroom with bath and freestanding shower. May I also add that the bed was very comfortable which is most unusual. I would book here again without hesitation. We also visited Kensington Palace that was a small walk away.

Great location and comfortable apartment. Friendly staff. The apartment (205) was good. One of the leather sofa was quite worn out but did not spend much time in the apartment anyways ! Great cafes in the area.

We stayed seven nights at this hotel. Our accommodation was a Deluxe Studio at around 240$ per day including room tax. The bedroom had a nice size and the mattress was OK with adequate storage room, sofa and an ample bed. The furniture looked a bit worn but the room was kept very clean. The kitchen was well stocked, in fact we ended up using its sink as an alternative from the bathroom one. The weak point was the bathroom itself , designed for handicapped use, even though the elevator was not big enough for a wheelchair . The sink was tiny and the shower was awkward.
The staff was friendly and the proximity to the Gloucester Station a definite plus. The wifi was strong and free.
While the hotel did not offer breakfast there is an abundance of nice cafes in the area. South Kensington and Chelsea are elegant and safe neighborhoods to stay in this wonderful city.

Room Tip: Make sure that the bathroom in your room is as you would expect. Not so sure it is a great value.
