“They got it right”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 days ago NEW via mobile

Stayed for one night on business recently and was very impressed.

The hotel is conveniently located for Paddington & tube. The staff was very courteous and the room whilst small, was perfectly appointed and very comfortable.

I dined in their Brasserie and found the food of a very good standard. Breakfast was excellent with a range of cooked to order options and fresh fruit, yoghurts and juices.

Really pleased to have found this place and will stay again soon.

Extremely nice and understated on the outside hotel. Had a great stay, funky rooms and lobby area. Very clean and feels very upmarket. Alot of attention to detail has also been place, face towels folded with little stickers making them look like little mice, cute and nice.

Complimentary drinks, newspapers etc. Great hotel.

I stayed for two nights. The location of the hotel is excellent, next to Paddington station, and Lancaster Gate tub station (central line) is only 8 minute walk away.

The room (306) was nicely cleaned, although there was some dust under the bed, not much (doesn’t matter otherwise except for people with dust allergy it can be bad). The room was VERY small but had all the necessities and the bed that took most of the space of the room was very comfortable. The shower was really large; the bathroom itself was not large but ok. I would have liked to have more table space in the bathroom but that was also ok. There was always enough hot water and the water run very well, and after taking the shower I noticed that there was no water on the bathroom floor other than that on the shower floor, which was really nice, often in hotels the bathroom floor is really uncomfortably flooded after the shower… The mirror was instantly dry after the shower, so I guess the airing in the bathroom was very good. I could not make the towel holder in the bathroom hot, but it didn’t matter for me; and maybe it was just my technical incompetence. The sheets and pillows were of a very good quality (no feather pillows). The TV screen was quite large, and a nice thing in the room was also an alarm clock. The only thing that really left me wondering in the room was the rug; some corners of it looked pretty tired and old. I wonder why this kind of an old and unattractive rug was there when the room was otherwise decorated clearly in a really nice and modern way. I understand that it fits the carpet in the corridor, but because the door to the room is most of the time shut anyway, I didn’t see a reason for making this fit. Just the plain hardwood floor would have been nice, or then some newer looking rug.

The sound insulation was good, the only thing I could hear was if somebody opened a door close by in the same corridor (happened very rarely). There were ear plugs provided for free but I didn’t have any use for them; the windows opened to the back of the hotel, I could see the windows of another house and nothing much else besides, and it was always very quiet there. There was no view from the room whatsoever but it didn’t matter as I was mostly out of the room anyway. The air conditioning worked nicely and made sleeping in the nights really easy. There is a fitness center but I didn’t have time to try it. In addition, quite close there is Hyde Park, I happened to walk next to the park one morning and saw a lot of joggers there, would be a good option to do that next time.

The breakfast was included in my room rate and I got the coupons for it upon arrival to the hotel. The breakfast was more of a continental breakfast type: a couple of types of bread, pastries, at least three types of juice, fresh fruits (pineapples were really nice!), berries, cheeses, and ham. My favorite was the yoghurt that had serial on the top and jam at the bottom, prepared as a portion – really tasty! Eggs, tea, coffee and hot water were also available. The receptionist staff was very helpful and overall very kind. One night I had trouble printing one document when the printer run out of paper, and the receptionist was very helpful in trying to make the printer work. The wi-fi functioned well in the room, and the room contained water bottles and chips that were complementary, that is a really nice service. The hotel also provided toothpaste et cetera for free, very helpful. There was also a store next door in case you needed more water or something else small. Whenever I had business with the reception I didn’t have to wait at all, there was no line and somebody was always there right away to serve me. It is also a nice service that they sent me an e-mail a couple of days earlier greeting me to the hotel and providing information such as the map of the area, helping me to locate the hotel easily and overall feeling welcome to the hotel.

I would not recommend the restaurant next to the hotel (the one that also served breakfast). Breakfast was really nice, but in the evening I was not impressed with the fish & chips I had and a quick look around showed that not many other dishes in other tables looked very nice either. There is an ample selection of restaurants in the area, probably worth to try some others. Of course there are many tastes - maybe the restaurant was just not right for me but would be for other travelers.

I will definitely consider coming back to this hotel again if I’m London. The location, the good nights sleep, the breakfast, the shower, the very good service: all reasons to come back any time. I’ve now been in two Indigo hotels, in different parts of the world, and I really liked them both!

Room Tip: Take a room on the back side of the hotel if you want peace and quiet.

You can be treated like royalty here. The Rooms are small and it is a little pricey but well worth the Money. Great access to everything and the service is top notch.

If you are Paddington Bear fancier must check out the Bronze statue in the Station and the Gift Shop up stairs. Would stay here again in a heart beat.

The actual room was pretty small and it's not a cheap place to stay. Beyond that, though, there's absolutely nothing to complain about. The staff is just incredible. I certainly don't require this kind of treatment, but they all seemed to have a "your wish is my command" approach to literally everything. I got the feeling that if I asked them to please have a baby rhino chained up in my room upon my arrival, they'd have done it. Great stay.

Loved this hotel. Room was clean and comfortable. Bed as comfortable. Bathroom was nice and loves the shower. Location was great. Only a couple minutes to paddington station. It was expensive but still less than £200 a night. Will definitely stay again.
