“big rooms-pub can be noisy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2012

I stayed in the 8 bed dorm over the weekend. The bunk beds are fine, wifi is great, sheets clean, kitchen clean, bathrooms clean. The girls bathroom had two showers but were too small so i used the main bath downstairs which had a shower and a full tub. The water pressure was great one day and bad the next-i think you just need to get in before others sometimes. On friday night the pub downstairs was pretty loud-but it does close at 12 so not so bad. What i loved was the location-you can see the hotel from the train station, and Asda and a shopping center is a five minute walk away. i plan to stay here again.

If you're going to a concert at the o2 this is the perfect hotel. It's cheap, clean, near the arena and has good connections to the rest of London. Stayed there during two concerts and it was worth every single penny. The beds were cosy and the rooms had right temperature. When we were heading back to the airport we needed help from the receptionist because the trains were cancelled. The receptionist called Titel helped us out and he was the nicest receptionist I've ever met. He did his job well and even got down the price for a cab. We are very satisfied with our stay and if we are going back for a concert in the future this is the place we will stay.

The only bad thing about the hotel is the showers, they don't have proper pressure all day on floor 2, but if you shower on floor 1 it's fine but not the biggest shower. Though they have a bathtub and overall the bathrooms are very big.

Room Tip: We had a room with a sight over the o2 on the second floor. I therefor recommend the rooms with a si...

Very friendly place, clean and tidy room with towels and shower gel included, comfy double bed, wardrobe etc. Quite noisy with traffic in the early morning but £65 was such a bargain! Took us 30 mins to walk to our gig at the O2 and then back, ideal to avoid busy underground traffic. Not a bad walk at all. I very highly recommend it.

Room Tip: We had room 20, at the back.

We booked the Hotel over the phone after reading the Hotel description on Hotels.com. We had three main criteria for booking the hotel 1st was accessibility to tube or train this was brilliant as the train station is just across the road. The 2nd criteria was Free parking what the site didn’t mention was you can only park for 2 hours after which you will be towed away, the nearest public car park was a good 20minutes walk away. The 3rd criteria was it had to be Family friendly. It wasn’t the hotel is attached to a lively and loud pub. This is fine if that’s what you want but it wasn’t. We called the operating company Hotels.com but they were no help at all and failed on all counts. The hotel it’s self was relatively clean but everything felt damp from the bed to the carpets to the towels, the noise from the road kept us awake most of the night and despite offering bed and breakfast we were told on arrival they didn’t do breakfast. To summarise if you like damp rooms, don’t mind the noise, don’t have a car or kids and don’t want breakfast then this is the hotel for you

Room Tip: If you must stay here ask for a room away from the road and the yard

The entrance was really disappointing, dark and run-down and the guy at the reception didn't made to much effort to make us feel welcome. Our room had a separate entrance through the (quite shabby) backyard. The floor was really damp but the room was a more positive suprise; it was really clean, beds were okay, only the bathroom was very small so you couldn't place your stuff anywhere. There was a water boiler and some instant coffee/tea and mugs in the room. We slept without disturbances except for noise from some younger guests but that can always happen to you. However the door to our room did not close tightly so you could hear the outside noises very clearly. There're bus stations and the Charlton Railway Station just around the corner so that was a big plus, some corner shops and in a 10-min-walk distance a huge 24h supermarket (asda). The kitchen is in the main building with free wi-fi. It's clean but not too comfy. The bathroom on the floor for those without bathroom ensuite is cold as the window is always open and run-down but clean. The other persons I met at the reception were a lot friendlier and allowed us to store our luggage after check-out. So if you don't want to spend to much money and just need a bed it's okay but I won't recommend you to stay there if you want to have a nice vacation.

after searching online for ages looking for a hotel near the o2 arena this is what came up, in all fairness this was my first trip to london and didnt know what to expect after intialling walking in the wrong entrance it gave myself and my friend a shock and kinda put us off a bit, then the girl at reception was very brash and abrupt (and looked like she hadnt washed in a few months), we then had a room in the annex building were we were basically in the stables and out room looked on to the court yard and a toilet window, we then asked if we could move rooms to be told they were fully booked after spending a good few hours searching for other accomodation we gave up and then went back to the desk and said we really werent happy, the girl then kinda put our minds to rest and said that the desk was manded 24 hrs and cctv was in operation, bearing in mind it was 2 girls sharing a room,

on the 2nd night they moved us into the main "hotel" and we were more happier, if they had done that in the first place maybe we wouldnt have the first imperission of what we did

The bar closes super early. I never really complain but for being so far from the city center they should stay open later. One night there was nobody at the front desk so I went to the bar to ask if someone could help me, the employees inside just said very quickly that they were closed, even after I said that I was looking for someone at the front desk. The front desk was very kind! They explained how to get around very well!
