“Not worth the money.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2012

Me and my boyfriend stayed in this hotel on the 18/05/12. I paid £138 for the "luxury suit", which was a waste of money. The good points where that across the road was a nice Chinese restaurant and the location was close to the 02 Arena. We received a king-size bed which was extremely comfortable and there was a lot of storage areas, they also provided us with a fridge which we used. The room was presentable but nothing what the pictures on the website were we booked it from. Our main light didn't work and the DVD controller didn't either so once we had got comfy in bed we had to get up to press play etc... The bathroom was clean but the Jacuzzi on the bath didn't work. Me and my boyfriend went downstairs to ask if something could be fixed and we got told that the jacuzzi is waiting for repair that's why the price was lowered for us but £138 isn't a low price for the outdated room we was given, I wish I had taken some photos to show you all.

From the website it suggested that the breakfast is £6 something.. so we went down in the morning to find out that it was £10 for a full English which I refused to pay and we went out for breakfast. If this hotel was at a lower price possibly £60-£70 I would have thought it was good but seen as it is overpriced I would advise anyone that they can find better accommodation (probably with breakfast included) for the price. The website also states that Parking is available luckily when we got there we did find a space but it is only a drive which can fit around 3 cars so if the hotel is busy you may not be promised parking.

Room Tip: Our room was number 7, right at the top and we had no problem with the busy road outside.

Location is fairly close to main road, so perhaps not ideal for light sleepers. We had a major discount off quoted price; if we'd paid the full price, we would definitely have felt cheated! As it was, the price would have been OK, except that I awoke to find two intensely itchy bites on my feet - too large for fleas or mosquitos, and hence almost certainly due to bedbugs! Avoid this place until it has been fumigated!!!!

Excellent is the single word that sums up Greenland Villa.
The location is great, the staff are fantastic, the rooms have the most wonderful homely atmosphere which makes for the perfect overnight stay.
There are few guesthouses that actually feel like home, but this is definitely one!!!!
Other plus points are the well stocked bar, being greeted by the most sincere smile, and the freshly baked bread that is waiting for you at breakfast..
Highly recommended!!!!!!

This is a nice place to stay. We made a last minute booking as a family and were looking for something nice and affordable. The room was clean and comfy. The bathroom was immaculate. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There's a nice quiet patio / deck area in the back yard for relaxing.

The location is a little out of the way if you're doing all the London sightseeing things, but it's location in a nice suburban area is also part of it's appeal. Nearby Greenwich park is lovely and the little town center near Cutty Sark / Maritime is charming.

Room Tip: avoid rooms facing the street if you're a light sleeper.

This place does need some TLC but the rooms are clean and the beds are comfy. The price for london hotels is good. There is a train/subway staion walking distance that gets you downtwon london in like 20 minutes, or if you don't want to walk it there is a city bus.

Room Tip: If you book direct with the hotel you get a free breakfast.

Was greeted upon arrival by a very friendly proprieter who went out of her way to make us feel welcome. We got a free room upgrade as there was no one staying in the nicer room.

The room we were in definitly need some TLC (the bathroom door wouldn't shut all the way, peeling wall paper, mould in the bathroom). But the bed seemed clean and was comfortable.

The location was good, right in Greenwich and our view overlooked a park.

This hotel could use a little work, but all the negative comments were outweighed by how friendly a place this was. The proprieter is definitly trying hard and you can tell. Would stay again.

Room Tip: One room is in the basement and didn't look very nice, request an upper floor.

Good price for a hotel in this location. My room was very pleasant and comfortable.

The service was from the proprietor as it's a small hotel. She was efficient, informed and friendly - top marks. She made the hotel easy to deal with and fun to stay in.

(Some people whine if they're not waited on hand and foot - have *fair* expectations, please.)

It's a small hotel and house-converted, like most in the thick of expensive London. I travel and stay in hotels quite a lot and this was a good find.

The address tells you you're on a busy road, so naturally you'll expect some outside noise, you don't get clock-ticking silence in London. It was nothing at all to worry me, I slept wonderfully.
