Overall my two parents and I had a great stay here - the homely atmosphere is a very nice change from the usual hotel experience, but doesn't compromise on things like cleanliness, food, etc.
Room - Stayed in the triple room, which fit us all very comfortably and had space to move around in. There's also a TV and a small bathroom in the room, which is very convenient. It was spotless when we arrived and was spotless at the end of every day when we got back from outside. No complaints here.
Food - The breakfast every morning was a highlight of our stay. You'll definitely have more than enough to eat, and the experience is much like eating over at a friend's or relative's - Teresa chats with you, gets you whatever you want and is very generous with the food. And it's got a spread as good as many great hotels, and better than anything you'll find on a budget.
Location - It's probably relatively far from central London, but this isn't really a problem if you plan your trip accordingly. It's just a short bus ride to the nearest train station (which Teresa will be happy to help you out with) and from there under an hour to central London. If you plan your trips accordingly it only means a little more time going out and getting back at the end of the day.
There's also something nice about going home to a quieter part of London at the end of the day. The neighbourhood is peaceful and there's a nice big open park just across the street from the house, great for jogging or talking a morning walk. If you need to do some quick shopping, there are plenty of stores and place to go to around Ealing, so whatever you might need isn't far away.
House - The house itself warrants a mention. It's very beautifully built and clearly lots of time goes into keeping it looking great. It's not just cleanliness (it's very clean) but the décor and furnishings lend it a different kind of homely feel - probably different enough from your own home to make it feel hotel-like, yet cosy in a homely way.
Facilities - There's parking space if you have a car, which is convenient. There is also free Wi-Fi here, something that most high-end hotels (sadly) choose to charge for. So it very much keeps in the 'home away from home' feel when you're able to plug in as you would at home, or when you're able to find space for your car.
The Host - Teresa is a fantastic host - very warm and welcoming, and tries to work around your schedule where possible on things like breakfast time. She'll gladly give you directions for places you want to go, and is more than willing to take a little time every day to have a nice chat and see how you're doing.
This is very much a recommended place to stay. A great B&B.
