What a fantastic experience!
The whole time spent there was truly amazing.
From the welcome, the attentive waitress and the quality of the food and drink were top class.
A beautiful setting in a magnificent building.
Had to book eleven months in advance to get a Saturday we wanted.

“Not as good as expected!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2013

Visited London for a few days on a foodie trip. This was the most expensive meal and the most disappointing. Too many staff fussing around the table - one would pour some water, replace the bottle and within minutes another one would be doing the same. This should be coordinated so that intrusion is minimised. We could hardly have a conversation for the interruptions. Food ok but nothing special. Staff very polite - we just saw them too often. No gluten free bread available which is poor for such an establishment. We would go back but not in a hurry.

“delightful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2013

My first time but not my last. We had the set dinner menu and all of us really enjoyed it. The service was both attentive and efficient whilst being relaxed and welcoming. Although the surroundings are beautiful this is no stuffy hotel and we felt and ease and comfortable.

The set menu had a good range with some interesting things and £41 for an evening meal in a top hotel was good value. i started with game pie which was delicious and then roast cod which was also very good. It was slightly delayed coming to the table as the chef over cooked the first attempt but the waiter informed me of the delay and then offered the table free teas at the conclusion of the meal. The pumpkin pie that completed the meal was one of the best I have had.

The food was was lovely. The service was excellent. the ambiance was so relaxed i will definitely be back when next in London.

“Brilliant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2013

My wife bought us a voucher for afternoon champagne tea at Claridge's, to celebrate my birthday, and we made this the highlight of our trip to London with my 14 year old daughter and 5 year old son. And so it proved...staff were great, food was great, plentiful, champagne was excellent and the tea was lovely. Surroundings were as good as expected, we had a lovely 2 hour "holiday" and will go for a repeat next time we visit London. Highly recommended , and very good value.

“Afternoon delight!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2013 via mobile

My mother and I had afternoon tea at Claridges as a celebration of my 30th birthday. It was a real treat, and even exceeded my high expectations. Attention to detail was flawless, even the topping up of our tea at regular intervals. The food was delicious, beautifully presented and generously portioned- we were offered seconds of the sandwiches and scones. Being big tea fans we drank 5 pots of tea between us, I'm sure we could've had more as our most attentive waitress went out of her way to ensure our satisfaction. At no point did we feel pressured to vacate the table. Each member of staff with whom we engaged was most attentive and helpful and are a real asset to claridges.
As well as all of this- I was 'surprised' with a little birthday cake! Just wonderful!
