“lovely food, friendly service, reasonable prices”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2012

Called in for tapas just before it started to get busy for Sunday lunch. Ordered 8 tapas between 2 of us, and drinks, and bill came to £40. Extensive range of fish, meat and veg dishes. All the dishes we ordered were lovely and authentically Spanish, staff were most welcoming and helpful and service all round was excellent. Atmosphere started to get really good as the place filled out.
Would have called back for our evening meal as well if we hadn't been staying so far out.

“Great restaurant, fab food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2012

We love this restaurant, have visited on numerous occasions, as a couple, with the children and as part of a large group and have always found them very accomodating and the food and service excellent. We last visited on Sunday when Greenwich is at its busiest and were not disappointed, we ordered tapas, about 8 dishes with a couple of soft drinks and found this good value as the quality of the food is high, as a previous reviewer said, you get what you pay for. We would recommend San Miguel to anyone who wants a tasty, fresh and homecooked meal!

“Let down by management”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2012

Normally San Miguel is an outstanding spanish tapas bar - the staff are extremely friendly and being all spanish (except the management) help. So on any normal day I would give 5/5 every time.

HOWEVER. Ask them to cater for 13 people. Ask them for the fixed menu and you're in for disappointment. The management could not care less the you were promised 6 dishes each for the price. In fact when I complain that we only received 30 dishes between 13 of us they did bring out a few more to appease us BUT we still received less than half promised. It would have been much cheaper and a better experience to order seperately. The lack of service as a group and lack of care means I probably won't be going back to one of my absolute favourite places.

Let down by the management

“Friendliest staff this side of Atlantic !!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2012 via mobile

This is my 3rd visit, and can truly say my favourite place to go for a meal or a chat.
Very friendly staff, even though not on the menu they happily cooked my Pollo Arroz, after I explained I had it Spain, must say it was even better here. Prices seem a bit high, but I believe you get what you pay for.

“Spain Comes to Greenwich”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2012

Had a great evening with kind and welcoming hospitality. friends remarked that they like the idea of Tapas, as prefer the variety and interest of different types of food. Good value for money, and very attentive staff.
