Last May, we stayed for three days in the ground floor "luxury" room pictured on the web site. (Click the "accomodations"link on the home page to see picture). It was very spacious, but there was moderate street noise from busy Gloucester St. even with the windows closed. Due to heat, we had to open the windows--and felt somewhat insecure about break-ins. No air conditioning, but a floor fan was provided. Beds were comfortable, sheets were clean, and there was ample closet space. The kitchenette was reasonably well equiped, but the sink didn't deliver the hot water necessary to sterilize plates and utensiles. Getting in to the shower/bathtub in the en suite bathroom, required some athletic prowess due to the configuration of the small bathroom. The picture of this room were probably taken 10 or 15 years ago when the decorations were fresh, as last year the room was rather dingy. It certainly is not luxurious. All-in-all, though, this hotel offers well-priced self-catering facilities to students and other travelors on a tight budget who want to stay at a central location. Hotel is midway between the Baker Street and the Marble Arch tube stations. We found a grocery store about 2 blocks away.
