“Very pleasant experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 13, 2013

My wife and I were touring central London on a day out when we came across this restaurant off Tottenham Court Road. The staff were very nice and helpful The first floor restaurant with the roof terrace was very busy but the service was quick and efficient. The Greek food was really good. I would definitely recommend it to others and will be going back.

“Bubbly fun place with finest food.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2013

I went with my husband after reading the reviews on trip advisor as we love Greek food and also wanted a bubbly and fun place so the Elysee stood out as having it all. It delivered what we had in mind. Fresh fish, delicious Greek dips, live music and dancing, cocktail bar for pre and after dinner drinks, roof garden terrace for smokers, and a late licence until 4am which is rare to fin fall these in one place. Reasonable prices, great entertainment and good quality food.

“Modern Flair”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2013

We dined at Elysee with friends last Friday ago to celebrate my promotion. The ambience, service, food, wine list were first class. I had the kleftico whilst my wife had the moussaka as well as a horgiatiki Greek salad and a wine from Cyprus. A very very satisfying experience overall and I heartily recommend to others.

“Top Greek Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2013

On the recommendation of a friend who is a regular to the Elysee (we live in Surrey) we booked for dinner last Saturday evening, and as it was my birthday we could also celebrate with live music and dancing and the traditional Greek thing of breaking the odd plate or two during the entertainment. We arrived at 9pm and left at 4am and we were not dissappointed.

We opted for the 3 course full meze (£37.50pp) which starts with 10 dips and pitta bread followed by the most amazing lamb souvla slow cooked over charcoal. There is then a great selection of desserts. We opted for the in-house made paklava. All tasted were beautiful.

The only downside was when we arrived at 9pm the restaurant was completely full and the service slow to start with but oveall great night out. next time we will go an hour earlier at 9pm to avoid their peak which also means that we can finish our meal just in time for the start of the entertainment at 10pm. They have 4 singers from Greek, a 4 piece band, a belly dancer and customers can participate in the traditional plate smashing! There is a £5 music charge for person for the live music but well worth the money for the 5 hours of entertainment provided. Will definately return back.

“Impeccable Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2013

This restaurant is the oldest (est 1936) and most famous in london and is under the personal management of the founding family (Karageorgis). Impeccable food and service with, knowledgeable staff and generous portions. We had traditional lamb kleftiko that fell easily off the bone and fresh fish platters and a beautiful Greek red wine from an impressive wine list.
There is a choise of different areas to dine in. The elegannt main ground floor restaurant has live music after 9pm and is great fun, the first floor restaurant has period Edwardian cornices and fireplaces or the magical roof terrace with its retractable roof for all year dining. We arrived at 7.30pm and dined on the ground floor with the live music as more fun. Next time we will dine in the first floor restaurant by the grand Adams fireplace. Great quality for the money!
