“A little Jewel in a busy area”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 15, 2012

Stayed here with a friend for just one night but wished we could have stayed for more, Friendly staff who couldn't have been more friendly. We had a quiet room at the back at the hotel and you wouldn't have believed that you were right in front of Kings Cross Station. Ideally located for the Tube. We ate lunch in the restaurant and it was delicious.

Room Tip: ask for a quiet room for a wonderful nights sleep we were in room 401

I chose to stay here just because i wanted a nice clean place to sleep to i can catch my early morning train from St Pancras and it exceeded my expectation. The room is very big, bed very comfortable and the bathroom very clean. Even though the hotel is in a noisy and busy area, its very quiet in the rooms. The Megaro is without doubt one of the best hotels in Kings cross/St Pancras area. I would certainly return and recommend!

We stayed for 5 nights at the Megaro and loved everything about it. Being so close, right across the street, from King's Cross tube station and St. Pancras train station made is so easy to get everywhere. Plus the practical stuff you end up wanting or needing can be had there so easily. The hotel is hip, small but not cramped, and surprisingly quiet. And do not miss their restaurant and very groovy bar. We did venture far, but several times simply stayed put to savor the great food and seductively metropolitan yet friendly scene. The beds are so comfortable, great soft linens, and the shower, well, it's dreamy with a big rainfall plus several mini-showerheads at various heights. If you want to be in a busy place but have peace of mind, the Megaro is fantastic.

Room Tip: Our room looked right out at St. Pancras as we loved seeing the nightlife from our surprisingly quie...

Second time in this hotel .We had a superb corner room on the 5th floor. The quality of bedding, towels and toiletries was excellent. Staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. The location was again a plus as the hotel is opposite St. Pancras and King's Cross stations. We had dinner in the restaurant and found it to be reasonably priced with very good food.and helpful staff. We will definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it.

In 35 years of coming to London I have never stayed around this area, mainly because it had a reputation but also because I tend to stay where I know. With the changes to st pancreas and kings cross comes a clean up to the area and this hotel along with the renaissance just confirm that, probably a bit further to go yet but once a clean up kicks in it usually just improves by default. This hotel is unbelievably convenient if you arriving to either of those two stations and now there is a restaurant open below the hotel with an entrance through it, you actually never need to leave if you don't want to.
The restaurant is superb, some real effort going in to make it a destination of choice!
The hotel has everything you could need and I would suggest has been designed by someone who uses hotels quite a lot.
Nice feel to it, everything worked, the bed and pillows were fantastically comfy, I was worried about the noise but glazing in place to cope with it and whilst the fussy could possibly moan about a little background noise it didn't bother me at all.
It's a definite to add to the list for when I am arriving by train, would it ever take over from my favourite hotel? No, but that's all to do with knowing the area, parking etc.
I will definitely stay here again it ticked all the boxes in comfort, cleanliness and amenities and was very easy which is mine, and I suspect, most business travellers main priority.

Room Tip: I stayed at the front of the hotel overlooking euston road, when staying again I would ask for a roo...

Second time I've stayed here and it's changed slightly but just as good and now a full restaurant. Rooms are very modern and the espresso machine is one of the really thoughtful accessories along with iron and keyboard. The computerised TV is temperamental though and they need to sort this out.

The restaurant and bar are extremely welcoming and there was a great choice for breakfast. Do be aware that breakfast is a la carte and full service so don't expect a 10-minute "grab-a-bite", but you can have just what you want.

The location makes it ideal for travellers using Kings Cross Station. It's literally right across the road so no need for taxis, tubes etc. I'll certainly use it again.

3 night stay, comfortable, convenient, clean, pleasant staff. Corner room at front of hotel looking on to a busy road however very quiet with good double glazing so no problem sleeping. Tired on return to hotel on 2 evenings so we ate in the hotel restaurant, the food was very much to our liking. Will use this hotel when we next return to London.
