“Welcoming and an oasis of calm”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2010

This was my second stay at The Beauchamp and it's become my favourite hotel in London to stay when I'm there on business. Our company rate isn't over-generous, so it can be a struggle to find somewhere decent.
The hotel location is lovely and peaceful considering its convenient location. Plenty of restaurants nearby and a nice area to walk in.
The decor is neutral, the hotel clean and the service very good. The rooms are comfortable, well-equipped, and if you have a room at the front they're also quiet and very light: lovely big windows looking out on the street. (Though the first time I stayed I was allocated a room on the lower ground floor, looking out on the service ducts. I went straight back to reception and asked for a quieter room and was then given a lovely room on the second floor without quibble).
I can't comment on the food as I haven't eaten in the restaurant.
I was particularly impressed with the receptionist who acknowledged that I'd stayed before and offered to remind me about the facilities if I couldn't remember, rather than reeling it all off parrot-fashion). And I had been upgraded to a junior suite which was lovely, which was a really lovely spacious and comfortable room.

The Beauchamp is located close to Russell Square and a short walk from Piccadilly line underground station. Furthermore, the British museum is just 2 minutes walk from the Hotel, Covent Garden 15 minutes and Soho just 10 minutes. The staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast ok and try to have it in the Winter Garden Room (great light and view of the garden!). Room was quiet and clean but...a little bit small.

Just returned last night with my 2 children ages 13 and 8 years old to back NYC from London. We stayed 4 nights at The Beauchamp which I found through various online searches. Happily we were able to take advantage of The Beauchamp's Easter Special which included a free continental breakfast (which even my 8 year old, fussy eater son found loads of great options to dine on) for under $300/night - a bargain by London standards. The stay was all round terrific. The staff members were very helpful. The room was quite lovely and very clean. If you are looking for a good value, well-located, low-key hotel, The Beauchamp is definitely a winner!!!

We were welcomed by very friendly reception staff, at around 10am on a busy Saturday the receptionist immediately offered to store our luggage. It was a very easy 10 minutes walk from Euston rail station which is why we had originally booked this location. When we arrived to check in around 3pm the first room offered was on the ground floor, a very nice room but we prefer higher floors. We asked if they had other rooms available and we were offered a choice of 2 alternatives on the third floor, one of which we accepted. It was very clean, bath and shower, it had been recently refurbished in contemporary style, complete with coffee/tea making & biscuits, a great flat screen TV / movies. Our luggage was transferred to our room by a very friendly concierge. The Continental breakfast was certainly more than was expected; a varied buffet including fresh fruits, eggs, ham, salamis, assorted pastries, breads, yoghurts and lots more; the breakfast was served in an adjoining dining room to the conservatory restaurant; a Cappuccino offered at no extra charge. 15 minutes walk to Covent Garden, Royal Opera Hoouse, theatres and great restaurants. The British Museum is just around the corner from hotel. The hotel is in a quiet road (for London) and we will be going back again. Value for money.

stayed here as one of our party had stayed before and was really impressed, so yeah, the hotel was lovely, the location was excellent. around3 or 4 minute walk from Russell Square station, the room we had (junior suite) was huge, the beds were enormous, although the one i was in wasn't entirely comfortable. The bedroom was, for the first night, very cold, the bathroom window is single glazed, and when entering the bathroom, you could see your breath! we asked for someone to come up and have a look, the staff member came in, said it felt cold, went into the bathroom, agreed that it was cold too, and then told us that due to a water problem, the heating/air con was off, although this , we felt, should have been told on our arrival and not when we complained. The bed covers were wafer thin, although the following night, we were glad of that, as it was furnace like! the view from the room we had on the first floor was lovely, if you are booking a junior suite, ask for 107, it was lovely and peaceful. Breakfast was continental, and we had no complaints there, everything was fresh and tasty. I'd go there again with my boyfriend, its so easy to get to places. we went to the shaftesbury theatre, and this was only just a ten minute walk, as was covent garden. Theres a lovely public park and either end of the street, and were both lovely places to sit and people watch.

As mentioned earlier, Russell Square station is only a short walk away, and there is a few shops right there, including a tesco metro, a newsagent and souveneir shop, and a delicious smelling Italian trattoria too.

This hotel is charming, the staff are all very friendly and can't do enough to help. We arrived early and our room was ready. The room was smaller than I am used to staying in, one way system round the bottom of the bed, but the room itself was immaculate, modern and very clean. Tea and coffee available, flat screen tv, safe, everything that you require. The room was increditably quiet with the black out curtains, I just wish their had been a clock to wake us up - although Reception did offer a wake up call. We upgraded to a full english breakfast and this was really good. Again, the staff were so very friendly and couldn't do enough to help. Visited to British Museum as it was round the corner, in fact it was situated within easy walking of Oxford St, West End and Leicester Square. They kept our cases on the Sunday once we had checked out and we carried on with sightseeing. A must to stay at.

My colleague booked this hotel and we both agreed that for the price (we paid around £138 for a twin room) it was a good deal for London.

We had quite a large twin room (both beds were large doubles), decorated nicely (modern boutique style), with lots of nice big cushions on the bed, and lovely crisp white bed linen, Bathroom was nice with large shower (large rain head style shower). Room was nice and clean as was the bathroom.

Would happily stay again - as described on the website.

Really convenient for Covent Garden.
