I've been in this restaurant with my husband last week , for our summer Holiday.
It's a fish restaurant, very famous in London.
We love the good fish, so we decided to try.
Take note that I must follow a special diet. Nothing so complicated : simply I absolutely MUST eat without salt .
Otherwise I've big problems to my loins .
My husband and me went to this restaurant for lunch.
It was very very busy and noisy , and I'd like to go away.
When the waiter went to take our order I told him several times about my problem ; he told us : no problem , no salt !
I ordered a sea bass totally plain ( without side or garnish is simplier for the chef !)
When I received my sea bass again I asked to the same waiter if the fish was without salt, and he said NO.
There was a strange black dust on the top, but the waiter told me that it was black pepper.
So I ate the fish : at the taste it was little bit strange ( not like what I eat abitually), but good.
Since my sea bass was small ( and I was hungry instead !) I asked another one , repeating : NO SALT PLEASE !
My second fish was been served from a new waittres s: I've noted that the black dust on top was a lot (more than before).
At my question the waitress told me that it was BLACK SALT !!!
IT'S A SHAME !
Immediately my husband asked for the bill and paid ( take note : the whole bill, without any discount or proposal of discount by any manager !!!).
For two days I ought take a lot of medecines and I've been really out of sort, ruining our holiday but above all ruining my health !
PLEASE , IF YOU HAVE SOME PROBLEM.... STAY AWAY !!!

We are sorry that you feel that our waiting staff did not understand the importance of your request for no salt on the sea bass that your wife ordered. I can assure you that we value each and every customer and we fully respect any special dietary requests that we receive.
I have double checked with my Head Chef and we do not stock black salt. I have also checked with the waiter and waitress who served you, and they both confirm that they requested that the sea bass prepared for your wife did not contain any salt whatsoever. Cracked black pepper was used on both servings of the sea bass and this will have been the 'black dust' that you mention in your review.
May I once again re-iterate that customer service is important to us and we are always very sorry when any of our customers are less than satisfied.
