“no more queues”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2014

the lack of queues and no need to book in advance shows you this place has dropped in it's demand, once you couldn't get near the place as it was the place to eat genuine pakistani cuisine now there are plenty and the quality is still good but not terrific as the old days, service is ok but you always have the feeling that the waiters are there doing the owners or full time staff a favour for freinds, for me the test of a good pakistani resteraunt is how they cook kerala with mince or plain with onions;not memorable and still bitter.
i still prefer the original in norbury,a buffet well worth the money with great dishes that you can savour.

“Points for atmosphere”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2014

Food was decent and freshly made. Bread pretty doughy so I was not keen although my other half liked it. The place had a great buzz and was really really busy as are many good curry shops in the area but this place was let down by dirty tables toilets and sticky menus. Also my jacket stunk to high heaven the next day from everyone rubbing against the back of my chair in the confined spaces.

If this place was bigger or had less tables and had a really good clean I would give more points.

Value = excellent. Two ate twp courses for £24 plus tip. Drinks can be brought from outside if alcohol so cheap for beers. Bring them in advance coz not many off licenses in the area.

“Great curry”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2014 via mobile

Went with family and it was just a great curry. Busy, but very quick service with a very good price. I can see why it was busy, the locals clearly go here on mass, for the 3 of us it came to less than £30. Trust me the food is very very good.

“Need to LISTEN!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2014

Busy and popular restaurant but staff need to listen to customers when writing out a Take Away order. Of course the downside of a Take Away is that if they get it wrong there is no redress.
And they got it spectacularly wrong!!

The chap taking the order seemed to be distracted and pre-occupied which deterred me from asking him to repeat the order, but if a kitchen is properly organised there should be very little margin for error.

The net result was that 3 of the dishes could not be eaten. To take them back and complain would have cost more in petrol. Utter waste of money.
