We had very high expectations of 'Khan's of Kensington' and expected the food would live up to the hype. I left upset and sad.
We (my husband, brother and I) visited on a Friday evening and asked for a quiet table at the back of the restaurant.
After ordering our mains and appetizers we waited and waited. Our food was served and then came the odour. The Chicken Seekh Kebabs were tasteless and smelt awful, the chefs had obviously forgot to add any garlic or ginger and spices to the meat.
My husbands Chicken Balti was a little better but nothing spectacular, the curry paste did look like it had been emptied from a supermarket jar.
My brother's Chilli Style Lamb was delicious and he enjoyed every last bite.
My Paapdi Chaat was edible, small in portion and lacked yoghurt and did not have any similarity to any chaat I had eaten previously. Very disappointing...:(
I was very grateful that I was given the opportunity to pray downstairs and would like to thank the gentleman with a beard.
The waiter who took our bill needs to be sent to Charm School, he lacked basic manners and etiquette. I was taken aback and upset by his abruptness and lack of social skills.
As a previous reviewer has mentioned you are intimidated into adding a service charge if you pay by credit card.
We paid 63 pounds for the experience and will never return.
Wheelchair and pushchair access limited.
Parking - mission impossible, we had to pay 7 pounds for two hours at the car park up the road.
Customer Service - good from the management, non existent from the waiters who looked miserable.
Food - Very Average go to your local Pakistani/Indian it will be much cheaper and your custom will be valued.
