My husband, daughter, and I had dinner here early evening after a long day at the Albert and Victoria Museum and Harod's. Our Fodor's recommended this restaurant, and we were looking forward to an unpretentious French dinner. We were the only diners for most of the time we were there. The food was not unacceptable but was absolutely nothing special, even for a brasserie, and only marginally French -- the beef bourguignon was most disappointing. We noticed that our receipt said "Spaghetti House," so perhaps the brasserie is now part of the ubiquitous London Spaghetti House chain. There are so many good, similarly priced neighborhood restaurants in the area that I was sorry I suggested this particular restaurant and cannot understand the favorable review given in Fodor's.
