My husband is a Liverpool supporter of whom he had always wanted to watch live & also see the Cavern club & Cavern Pub so I booked this Hotel as he'd mentioned he'd always fancied staying there to, I wasn't a Beatles fan before but I am now! I can't rave about Liverpool enough with all the things to do which are free & at a small cost but your reading this to get a feel for the Hotel!! ..Apart from being what I consider reasonable in price for such a beautiful place with grand & quite regal surroundings of which first catch your eye when standing outside this lovely dominant building is steeped in history, the atmosphere on entering this beautiful building is one of sophistication & calmness with warm faces from the reception desk, this adds to the whole experience as the hotel & staff make you feel very special!!..the staff are friendly & warm but very professional, the decor is wonderful & like I said if your not a Beatles fan you will be by the time you leave as the theme has been carried out so tastefully through out the hotel, it quite took my breath away on entering the lobby, there are so many wonderful things to feast your eyes on, they allowed us to leave our bags in a secure place as we'd arrived at 8.30am which was to early for check in, the room was amazingly decorated very up to date pure luxury, the bed was scrumptious big & comfee!!! The place was spotless & like most woman I'm very fussy on the whole dirt thing I couldn't find a speck, really I couldn't so I did something I never do in any hotel, I HAD A LONG SOAK in their lovely big bath tub!!! It was heaven, there was Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, even biscuits, iron & ironing board, we even had a dance in the room as it was so spacious...we headed to the Bar for a cheeky cocktail before heading out for the evening & ended up staying for 3 haha, again such a lovely atmosphere with a wonderful even romantic ambience with air of sophistication, very comfortable seating even if you decided to spend the evening in there!! we often travel from Cambridgeshire where we reside for a good ole night out in Liverpool to the cavern pub/club as it costs nearly the same even with the Hotel!! There are many museums F.O.C which I go to whilst husband is at footie, bus tour which you can hop on & off around the city with cheeky chappy with a wonderful sense of humour telling the history of the slave trade & other tales! the history talk is wonderfully interesting, but take a warm coat, even in summer a scarf or hat is needed to sit up top deck! ENJOY PEEPS YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED I PROMISE YOU!
