“It definitely was A Hard Day's Night”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013

Planned a two night stay in Liverpool to coincide with a concert. Thought it would be great to stay at The Beatles themed hotel. Went to the concert and then spent an hour or so in the bar at the hotel. Everything great. Until ..... Was awoken at 1.30 by some person or persons hammering on the neighbouring bedroom door. This reoccurred every 15 minutes until 4.30 during which time we also had hammering on our bedroom and the interconnecting door. We phoned Reception 6 times in the hope that security would put a stop to it. They didn't. The following day there was nothing from the hotel, no explanation, no apology, no reassurance that it wouldn't happen again the next night. So we checked out. I have written to the manager to express my disappointment. Guess what. I haven't even received a reply. So much for customer service. So if you do want a hard day's night, you know exactly where to stay.

Room Tip: A Beatles themed room consists of a room with a large picture of one of the boys. Impressed? No, ne...

On arriving at the hotel an hour after check in our room was not ready which was a little odd however the lady on reception apologised and we were given several complimentary drinks whilst we waited. Anywhere else we would have found this inconvenient however they seemed genuinly sorry, it didn't seem like that happened regularly and the lounge area was so pleasant that we didn't mind at all. The lounge was very relaxing and tastefully decorated with Beatles memorabilia. Once our room was ready the hotel apologised again and offered us complimentary breakfast with our stay which we really appreciated(and later enjoyed).
On entering our room we were delighted. The room was stylish, modern, finished to a high standard and very clean. There was ample wardrobe space and all the features you would expect of a hotel room and more. The switches above the bed to control the lighting and heating were particularly useful and the bathroom was luxurious with a lovely deep tub and powerful shower. Again the Beatles theme was incorporated tastefully. We had a wonderful time in our room and room service was available which was reasonably priced, speedy and tasty. The beds were exceptionally comfortable and I anticipated a great nights sleep however that was not what I got. Unfortunately the price you pay for the convenience of being so close to the centre of Liverpool is the noise. We didn't attempt to go to sleep until 1:30 after a great night at the Cavern Club however at 4am people still seemed to be walking past the hotel shouting and revelling on a Sunday night. Having read several reviews of other hotels in the area I have concluded that this problem is not exclusive of the hotel and therefore overall it reflects only slightly on my overall opinion of the hotel. Overall an enjoyable, memorable stay and I would be more than happy to return but I would probably take some ear plugs.

I had the pleasure of being taken there for a few nights for my birthday and we were really impressed. From entering the fantastic foyer to the massive room with sky, internet, wireless, walk in wardrobe, bathroom and shower and sheer luxury in the bedroom, we were blown away, secure floors and rooms, lovely staff and most of all the beatles memorabilia everywhere. The breakfast was good, but the cooked breakfasts were dry with being sat a while. Shame about the fire on our last day but it was all handled professionally.

Room Tip: Room 116 was a little noisy with the roadsweepers and bin wagons in the early hours, take ear plugs.

Beautiful, comfy hotel. We had a massive bed and it wasn't two beds pushed together! Brilliant! Large rooms. Very swish.
Food at breakfast was excellent. What a lovely room to eat in.
We love finding great hotels....and this was one of them.
Book it, you won't regret it.

One of the best hotels we have stayed in. Fantastic room, large and extremely clean. Massive bathroom with a bath and a separate shower. The biggest bed we have ever seen! Room was number 322 and was VERY quiet. Liked the security of needing room key to access the corridors where the rooms are. Also on our return from The Cavern the main doors of the hotel were locked, you have to ring the bell located to the right of the doors and they let you in so you don't get all and sundry wondering in and out all night. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and have already told our friends all about it. Make sure you visit the Cavern and take a trip on the Magical Mystery Tour during your trip.

Stayed here for a Sunday night. The hotel is lovely and decorated throughout in the beatles theme, but i was disappointed with the room. We stayed here as my partner is a Beatles fan and it was a last minute booking which we got for only £90 which is good for the location, if i had paid the full amount i would have been gutted as the only thing that seperates this for a premier in is one Beatles picture and a bit of text about the picture, more cushions and lighting. The room we were in room 214 the air con wasn't working so we had to use a heater that was quite loud. The room was on the front and this is where the taxi rank is and had a terrible sleep as we could hear people in general high spirts until 4.30 in the morning. Worth staying if you can get it on a n offer just for location.

Room Tip: my room was second floor and at the front and could hear alot of noise in ther early hours.
