We only had the 1 nights stay on a saturday night and loved the hotel straight away. The room was a bit cold and the thermostat didn't work at all, but no complaint was made. After all we were straight out and in seconds you are in the thick of Beatles Liverpool. The Cavern Quarter is very cool, loads of bars. The irish bar Flanagans is very cosy spacious and got very large TV for sports. The food looked good.

Overall the room, service, bed, breakfast were excellent. Very cool pictures of the Beatles everywhere. We cancelled our inclusive Blake's adjacent restaurant 3 course meal as we thought we had made a saving online but on turns out its the same if you book on arrival.

We paid £120 for 1 night in a standard luxury room and thought this was not excellent value but a treat. Full price tariffs @ 250-300 per night are way too much. The breakfast was self service and very nice. This shouldbe the case for a 4* hotel. 4/5 overall - a lovely weekend.

Room Tip: If you pay the extra for the rooms at the top make sure the heating is working.

We booked this hotel for our anniversary and could not wait to stay here! We booked a deluxe room with a balcony view the room was like being in the Antarctic :(, it was extremely cold we did ring reception and was told to give it 2 hrs as there was a problem with the air conditioning. After wrapping up we eventually called reception and were moved a floor down to the 4th floor again to our dismay this room was even worse we paid for a deluxe however this room was a luxury not what we had paid for and again no heating!!!! The air conditioning vents were blowing cold air out, we were offered a room move again after waking up dithering at 4am in the morning but refused as we just wanted to enjoy what was left of our stay and thought the same would happen again.

We did visit the bar my partner asked for a Hennessy xo to drink and were told there wasn't any quite rudely! We paid a lot of money for our stay at this hotel and found it by far the worse hotel and experience we had ever incurred!!! Even when we complained the next morning which we have never done the manager on reception was very rude and didn't even offer any apologies!!! We were very disappointed with our stay and definetly will not be staying at this hotel ever again or recommending it to any of our family or friend!!!!!!!!!

Room Tip: Make sure the room has heating!!!!!!!

Had a fab stay , Comfortable bed, spotlessly clean, helpful staff. Had a delicious meal in Blakes restaurant. would recommend it to anyone.Breakfast was also delicious. It was tough to drag myself out of such a comfortable bed. A good selection of Evening cocktails in the bar and if they were not on the menu the bar staff would make what you requested.

We were lucky enough to stay in the John Lennon Suite on the 2nd of January. As avid Beatles fans we couldn't wait to arrive and check out the room - it was amazing! Spotlessly clean and beautifully presented. The suite also had the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in (so comfortable we struggled all the next day to wake up!) The location of the hotel is perfect, a short walk (2 minutes around the corner) the the Cavern Quarter and another short stroll to the main shopping areas and docks. We did not eat in Blakes but we did treat ourselves to afternoon tea, it was wonderful and a very, very generous portion. My husband and I shared an afternoon tea for 1 person and still couldn't finish it all! The staff were all super friendly and we left Liverpool with a warm and fuzzy feeling about what a friendly, happy city it is .. coming from Birmingham we were also super happy with the shopping - a really lovely selection of high street and independent boutiques in close proximity to one another.
The only teeny, tiny moan was that breakfast was very busy and the staff were run off their feet - we were sat by the servery and it was very noisy (Clattering plates and scraping ..), as a person who is not known for their morning cheer this got right on my nerves ... BUT with everything else taken into consideration I still think this hotel deserves a 5 rated review. We loved it and are already talking about a second trip to Liverpool and the Hard Days Night Hotel soon !!
