awful hotel. Stayed here one night for a special occasion and it was a real let down. Waaaaay overpriced too. No robes, no air con, no staff, no room service.....it was just very poor. I had to go down to the bar for drinks and it too was understaffed and way overpriced. One saving grace is the location is good but liverpool is a small city so every hotel has good location.

Room Tip: top tip - choose one of the many better hotels in liverpool.

This hotel is in a good location close to the Albert Dock, Beatles Experience and Cavern Quarter. The reception staff and manager were very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. We asked for a quiet room and although it faced the street, it really was quiet and very comfortable, so we slept really well, which was important as I was there for work . Some of the furniture in the room had seen better days but overall , it was nicely decorated and tasteful. The bathroom was huge and well fitted out, and there was tea and coffee and bottled water in the room.
One word of warning if you like to have breakfast early- because I was early on the day I was working, I wasn't offered the menu for cooked breakfast. I thought it was maybe too early for the chef to be working , so didn't say anything but when I asked about it the next day(when it was later because I wasn't working) , I was told that the server must have assumed I was in a rush and wouldn't have time for cooked breakfast.
A minor point though- all in all I was very happy with the hotel and would definitely go back.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room.

We stayed at 62 Castle Street last night. The hotel is very well located, a few minutes walk to the Albert Docks, Liverpool One and all the surrounding attractions. The reception staff were very friendly and checked us in quickly and directed us to our room. The room itself was very spacious, stylish and tastefully decorated with a spacious and equally stylish ensuite. My only negative comments are very minor details such as the fact that the sink taps were very low and the shower head could do with being higher as I had to hunch a little to fit under it! Other than that I was very pleased with the room, the bed was literally the comfiest I have ever had the pleasure of sleeping in! The in room facility's are also good, you get your own iron and ironing board, tea and coffee making, a large flat screen tv which swings out on itself so you can watch it in bed, a writing desk, 2 leather arm chairs with a huge foot stool and a small table and chairs. Oh and a docking station! I would most definitely recommend this beautiful hotel.

Booked through secret escapes so got a good one night deal.
Hotel was in a good central location with parking near by in the Liverpool one at a reduced rate.
Room was clean and very spacious.
The bar was quite expensive and very quiet, we went on a Wednesday.
The receptionist was very helpfull and gave advice on places to go etc.
Breakfast the next day was nice but the service was very poor, we had to ask for most things like tea and coffee and toast.
All in all a nice hotel in a very good location, but breakfast service not the best.

The hotel is in a great location, near the shopping at Liverpool One and the Albert Dock and close to the Cavern Club area. The building and bar area are impressive. The hotel staff were very helpful also. The hotel rooms were very spacious and clean. The issue I have is that it is not value for money at £145 a night. The rooms are in need of an update, both on the fixtures and fittings and a lick of paint. The air-conditioning was very noisy and disturbed our sleep as a result. It did not keep the room all that cool either (top be fair it was the hottest day in Liverpool since 2006 though). None of this would be all that much of an issue if the room was £80 a night, but at the price it is I expect a lot more.

The breakfast (which is not included in the price) was OK. My wife had to send back the Eggs Benedict as the had hard boiled the eggs, but this was done without fuss and it was second time lucky as they were good.

Great location. Lovely old building beautiful large room and very special long bath. Staff were great and very helpful.
One negative was breakfast.
Went across the road for a decent pot of tea after breakfast they left you to help yourself to tea bag and water from a thermos flask.
My eggs benedict left a lot to be desired eggs solid muffin tasted of vinegar. My partners full English was OK Would advise room only to shop around for breakfast as there is loads of choice local

Room Tip: Executive worth going for
