as regular visitors to liverpool we jumped at the chance to book a £12 night room.we actually booked 4.nice and near to town centre and albert dock,a brand new hotel so we were dissapointed that we never received a laundry or toelling change once during our stay.the carpet was never vacuumed even though 'henry; spent most of his day outside our room!! this is a very basic new style lodge with no wardrobes,hairdryer or storage drawers.the bed was ok and security excellent. i would have been disappointed had i paid the asking price

Stayed here for 3 nights. Excellent location overlooking Albert Dock. Very close to city centre shops, restaurants, pubs etc. We've stayed at numerous Travelodges over the years and this is one of the newer ones. Very clean room and spotlessly clean shower room. Multi-storey car park nearby at £9.50 per 24 hours (should have been more but was discounted on presentation of a Travelodge voucher). Our only gripe was the VERY strong smell of cigarette smoke in our room when we arrived. Previous occupant obviously couldn't be bothered to go outside to smoke, so decided to pollute our sleeping area so badly that we had to leave the bedroom window open all night on one of the coldest nights of the year. This aside, we had a fantastic time in Liverpool and would love to go back. We'd definitely recommend this hotel for its great location.
PS - straight opposite the Travelodge and next to the Maritime Museum is an old building with a tall chimney called The Pumphouse which we thought was part of the old dock/ museum buildings. It's actually a beautiful pub/restaurant which serves fab food and deserves a mention. Highly recommended!

Our second visit to the Travelodge and really cannot fault it. We had originally booked a family room but when I rang asking for a room on the front I was told the family rooms are all at the back, but they were happy to transfer our booking to a double. We were given a lovely room up on the top (9th) floor, complete with great views over the Albert Dock to one side and towards the Liver Building to the other. The rooms give you everything you need, a bed, a shower room, TV, tea/coffee facilities and a place to hang your clothes.
Staff were very pleasant from the reception staff to the cleaners, which makes the place feel very friendly.
A tip for anyone staying, if you come out the front and turn left and then take the first turn on the left, up a small hill, this brings you out near the courts, which cuts off the big corner. From here it's only a few minutes walk into town, the Cavern, etc or Liverpool One in the opposite direction. If you're looking for somewhere to eat can't recommend Red Hot World Buffet at Liverpool One high enough, fantastic value all-you-can-eat buffet, particularly good value at lunch time.
Will definitely be visiting this hotel again, especially if we could do as we did this time and get our room for £15 a night!

Stayed for 1 night and what a delightful stay it was.Room minimal but clean,bathroom fine...lot of reviews saying bathroom is tiny,we thought it was fine.Location great this hotel is in totally different league than travelodge on Albert dock!!Super hotel,will defo return!!
