The hotel is located over the road from Albert Dock and the Liver Building and within a 5 minute walk to Liverpool One and the city centre.
The hotel is quite new and everything about it encourages you in wanting to stay. The staff are probably the best we have ever had in a hotel, nothing was too much trouble for them. They were polite, pleasant, obliging, helpful and most of all had great Liverpool accents.
We are actually still in residence as I write this but I thought others should know about it and them quickly. We have a three night stay with breakfast ordered when we originally booked at a reduced rate, and had dinner last night. Both meals was above expectation, well cooked, well presented and very enjoyable. Our family room is very clean and well serviced with everything you would expect from a budget hotel. This morning my wife asked at reception for an hairdryer but they hadn't any left. Within minutes a member of staff was at our door delivering one. A faultless stay all round.

I expected travelodge to be basic but seriously I have stayed in better appointed hostels in Bangkok.

For £45 a night room only I would have liked a hand towel or maybe a clock in my room.

I would have liked it to not smell of really bad damp in the bathroom.
For me though the worst part as a disabled person who needs medical equipment I would have liked to have a phone in my room to contact reception rather than have to make my way down from the top floor of the hotel. Yes there was an emergency bell but for enquiries I still had to struggle.
Also there are no plug sockets near to the bed. This was very awkward for me as I need to plug in my medical equipment to use in the night.

Also not great if you need to charge your phone, you have to get up and cross the room in the night to get to your phone to see the time cos there is NO CLOCK!

Would like to ask travelodge if anyone who fitted the mirrors in the disabled rooms actually sat down in front of them? I ask because you can only see the top of your head!!!!

Really disappointed, really unlikely to rebook

Room very good everything very clean,staff brilliant.
Restaurant open till ten,bar open till four in the morning.
will be back again during summer.
the liver pool pub just around the corner well worth a visit for food during the day and entertainment at night.

The best hotel ive stayed in in liverpool. central location. staff were lovely booked us taxis to concert square for our night out. will be returning. A lot nice than other travel lodges ive stayed in in the past.
