Perfectly located beside Albert Dock and 5 mins walk to the city centre, Tate Gallery etc. Clean, comfortable, large car park, polite helpful staff and a cooked breakfast. What more do you need for a short stay.

Stayed here for the Saturday night Bank Holiday weekend.
Yes, there were Stag and Hen parties galore! Heard a bit of noise, but not too bad. (Why dont they assign a whole floor to these parties??)
The room itself is clean and tidy with the seemingly standard Ibis bathroom cubicle - slightly strange when you first see it, but very practible.
We arrived early at 11AM - off the IOM ferry - as no rooms were available just yet, we stashed our bags and went out on the town.
My only gripe is the seemingly complex breakfast arrangments - I had already booked 2x breakfasts when I booked the room months ago, but on checkin they asked if you still require breakfast. Come the morning you then had to queue up again in order to either pay cash or have the breakfast cost added to your room bill - a bit much when you have 1) already booked it and 2) have a hangover!!
Other than that pretty good for a basic hotel in walking distance of all the central sights.

Just back after spending one night in the Ibis Hotel in Liverpool. We had booked three double rooms through their reservations phone line and were quoted a price of 57pounds per room per night. This we booked six weeks ago and we even phoned last week to check the rooms were still booked and the rate was still the same.

When we arrived we were given forms to fill in with our addresses etc and on them was the rate of 57pounds per room. All was going well until the receptionist asked us to pay 95pounds per room. We told them that we had booked it at 57 and it was also on the printed sheets we had just signed and she said sorry it was now 95 pounds. When we asked why she said it was due to the Grand National and Liverpool Fc playing. We asked for the manager who agreed with her colleague and wanted 95per room. After about half an hour of argueing the manager said we could have two rooms for 57 and one for 95. We decided to take that but informed her that we would be making a complaint and would not be returning in the future.

I must add that we have stayed in this hotel approximately six times before without any problems but this was most definately unacceptable.

Cant accept that they can change the price of a room after we had confirmation that it was a cheaper rate.

All in all it spoilt our stay completely. On a more positive note, the rooms were clean and tidy and the service from other staff members was fine. We wont be returning however.

This hotel surpassed our expectations for the price we paid. The room was clean and comfortable, the bathroom being unusual but functional, in that it resembles a space capsule. Staff were very pleasant and helpfull, if we needed anything we only had to ask , i.e extra pillows or tea and coffee. The added bonus was that we had a superb view of the up and coming Albert Dock. This was our first experience of an Ibis hotel , we will definitley use them again if this is their usual standard of accommadation.

I stayed here for one night, I booked it in March and when I rang to confirm in June they lost our booking, I had to speak to the manager and get it sorted. When we arrived they tried to put another £10 on the room, but reduced it when I said they made a mistake. She just said sorry that's £59.50. When we went back to our room after a night out we couldn't get back in and had to get the card fixed in reception. It was ok for the rest of the start but I found it very expensive and lace of service. The room how ever was clean and view was ok.
