“Midweek Theatre Break.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2012

Stayed 2 nights at the Liner ( Thursday & Friday). From check in to check out, everything was perfect. Very quick and easy check in. Spotlessly clean room, very warm and cozy. Excellent buffet breakfast with plenty of choice. All the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Check out was also quick and easy. The location was excellent for us, as it was a 5 minute stroll to the Royal Court Theatre. Will definitely use the Liner again.

Just arrived home from a two night stay at The Liner Hotel. We greeting at the reception by a lovely young lady who promptly checked us into our room and explained about meal times and whereabouts the various restaurants where located within the hotel. Our room was lovely, very modern, it was clean and warm with a kingsize bed. Tea and coffee making facilities and a hairdrying were also in the room. The bathroom is very tastefully tiled from ceiling to floor with a modern suite with a shower over the bath and fluffy white towels. It also had complimentary toiletries. The hotel car park was included in the reasonable price we paid. The location of the hotel is good, right next to lime street station, about 10 minutes walk to Liverpool one and 15 minutes to Albert Docks. The breakfast is self serve with plenty of choice, cold meats, full english, fresh fruit etc. All in all a great couple of days away between Christmas and New Year. We would certainley re-visit The Liner. Thank You.

Stayed here for one night on a shopping trip to Liverpool and found everything excellent.
The staff, location and rooms were all first class, we will be returning here again very soon.
The hotel was very close to the city centre and lime street station but no noise was heard in the rooms from outside.

Had a weekend in Liverpool to watch Liverpool play and do some Christmas shopping and stayed at the Liner Hotel. We arrived at around 11am but were allowed into our room before the standard 2pm check-in time and dealt with well at the front desk. They also booked a taxi for us as we were going to Anfield later that day for Liverpool v Fulham. I was told we had been upgraded for no extra charge to a better room though if i'm honest the only slight benefit from what I can tell is that we had two small bottles of spring water and 3 tiny cup cakes as complimentaries. The room itself was okay, only slight disappointment was in a couple of places the wallpaper was starting to peel away on the wall and the bath had a couple of patches that looked like the enamel was coming off. These weren't major problems but not what you expect for a £115 room really.

I have to say the bed itself and pillows were very comfortable and after getting over the initial bit of noise from traffic outside got off to sleep and slept well in that bed.

The breakfast in the morning was self service and was superb both in terms of choice and quality! Only downside was the miserable little woman that "greeted" (if you can call it that) us on arrival, my wife said a cheery, "Good morning" and barely got a grunt back as she asked for our room number. The same woman also then stopped a family moving a couple of tables together so they all had enough room round the tables for breakfast even though nobody else minded including a poor young hotel worker who said it was okay originally.

We had a bite to eat in the restaurant for lunch before we departed and again the quality of the food was very good.

The hotel was well situated for our needs, a 10 min taxi drive from Anfield and a 5 min walk from the Town centre and the restaurants.

Overall happy with our stay and would be prepared to go back if in the area again.

A lovely hotel in a great city! I've stayed here twice and it's the best hotel in the city centre. I even re-arranged my visit in order to be able to stay at the Liner, that's how pleased we were with it. Excellent value, nice rooms, comfy beds, great breakfast & friendly helpful staff. What more does anyone need?

Stayed here for one night with my daughter, just to chill and do some christmas shoppin . Arrived at midday had booked quiet room but wasnt ready, but another room was so had that. Our room faced the station but to be honest we didnt hear anything at all. Room was very clean couldnt fault it, and breakfast was excellant, very good choice and nicely cooked. Also had lunch the day we arrived and that was very good. On the whole this hotel was very good with good location only thing not good was the weather which unfortunately you cant book and yes we would stay here again .

Had a girly night out at the liner. We had amazing food. Didnt wait long for our food even though the chefs where really busy. The place was full. I like the way you can see the chefs cooking the food. And the way they use fresh products. ( not frozen microve crap). Our waitress was lovley aswell nothing was to much trouble for her. I would deffo go back to liner. very tasty food x
