We stayed at the Adelphi for just one night - thank goodness - in a 'triple room' which was two single beds pushed together and another single and I can honestly say it was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. The bathroom was filthy with a bit of what looked like shower curtain up at the window, the room was fusty smelling & we couldn't open the window, the lift was clattering all night and my friend woke up in the mornng covered in white fluff! All this for £125 per night with no breakfast!

This hotel is awful. Its tired and dirty everywhere. The staff are rude and unhelpful at the best of times. The sheets in my roon were so dirty I had to put a bath sheet down to sleep on! Never book this hotel. It is not a 4 star at all. If it wasnt a listed building I would pull it down and start again! There really is nothing nice to say about it.

This hotel is really grim. Full of contractors during the week. Full of hen parties at the weekend. The hotel has also had problems with thefts from peoples rooms and no sign of forced entry. Check with merseyside police before you stay. Management have no concern for guests problems

Was on a coach weekend for the "Beatles Experience" The hotel was grim. The food was cold and most unappetizing. Really reminded me of the worst type of school dinner. Massive queues for the carvery. No salt and pepper on the table. Asked for some. Was brought empty salt and pepper. No sugar for coffee. Had to ask. No cutlery. Had to ask. No plates. Had to ask.
Bedroom curtains were filthy. Carpet stained.
The only positive thing was the very hot water in the bathroom.

Stayed here last jan, 3 of us stayed in a room, 2 beds 1 sofa bed, looks grand from outside, not so once inside, like something out of the adams family..very dated and tatty, night staff had attitude problem too, was to busy sitting with feet up watching tv, couldnt even get a glass of water at 1230am.. room was horrible crappy bathroom, dirty curtains, and a carpet jumping in kritters.. Very expensive for the experiance will not want to go again for sure...
