Very cheap, clean and comfortable room. Staff were very plesant, very helpful to my and my mum. Hotel is in an excellent location. 2 Minute walk from town and there's a weatherspoons just across the road.

In January 2013 I stayed in the Holiday Inn with my parents for a Christmas shopping treat in Liverpool, we stayed at the Holiday Inn because it was convient for the shops and was right opposite the train station. The hotel was ideally situated with easy access to shops, train station and the Albert Dock. On arrival at the Hotel, the reception staff went out of their way to make sure we were welcomed and even the Manager came downstairs to greet us and make sure our train journey went well. The room was on floor 5 and was comfortable, clean and warm with views over the city center. There was an excellent choice of Breakfast with very friendly helpful Staff offering us drinks and a choice of additional items (breakfast dishes) that the Chief was prepared to cook. Very happy with my stay and would defiantly choose this Hotel again, as the room was very comfortable and the staff very helpful.

Had a two night stay in mid December for xmas shopping (approx. £140) - room was clean and comfortable (basic) and location of hotel was excellent for walking to main area of shops and eating out in the evening. The hotel is right across from Lime Street Train Station. Parking was cheap and ideal too. Staff were all very pleasant and helpful too. We didn't eat in the hotel so can't comment on quality of food. This is our second stay at this hotel and we find it ideal for our requirements (shopping, and dining out in Liverpool).

The location of this hotel is the only good thing about it. Right opposite Lime Street train station and very easy access to shops, restaurants and bars. That's as far as good things go I'm afraid. The staff were mostly pleasant and chatty although some could have been a bit more professional. The room had a slight musty smell to it and the towels were a lighter shade of grey. The soap holder was hanging off the wall and the shower curtain was a little tatty.

The bed was uncomfortable as we're the pillows. You could actually feel the springs through the mattress.

The bar area has no atmosphere and the soft chairs were badly worn on the arms. Breakfast was mediocre, albeit the full English was on offer, the quality of the produce wasn't great. However, the waitresses here were lovely and offered fresh tea and coffee.

Even though the location is great I definitely will not be visiting this establishment again.

We didn't spend a night here we had comedy tickets booked in the function room with a 3course meal. The comedy club which was called hot water comedy club were fantastic! Really worth going to. Loved our NYE here. Food was average but still nice and worth the price we paid as was only £38 for 3course and show!

staying at HI is usually very nice, the rooms here are comfortable, spacious, clean, great shower. The service always very good and the breakfast buffet awesome. The hotel is ideally situated near Lime Street railway station in the town. Taxis are cheap to all the drinking areas and you can walk to Anfield (40 mins) or a taxi was £8, or theres buses. Parking in the next door shopping centre was £10 for just over 24 hrs
