I had dinner here at the back end of summer in 2012 and was appalled by the food...tough burger, greasy overcooked chips all crammed onto a plate, pizza base too thin, childs spag bol very greasy...after exchanging messages with the manager through tripadvisor, i thought id remove my message and put the disaster down to human error, as everybody has an off day.
2nd time around...2 weeks ago on a friday evening we visited as a table of 4. service was better ill say that much. Burger...poor. over cooked. still served with chips that resemble potato wedges, and crammed onto a small plate. i do not understand this??? why put so much food on a side plate??? this is not food fashion, and neither is it setting new standards...it is idle food presentation. I have nothing against this place, so this is not personal, its constructive criticism.
Pizza base was slightly better, but its still too thin. I do not want to see deep pan pizzas or thick crusts, but there is no depth to these pizzas at all, and the same with the garlic bread...but for £4 ill let the garlic bread off.
i thought id try it again, as last time i might have been a bit harsh. its obvious that this place is not looking at quality...its purely business, and that is dissapointing. The place is busy, but its not half as good as most italian restaurants in liverpool city centre. good job its in crosby (full of poor quality restaurants).
last chance sorry, i wont be returning.
