“Modern, central hotel, would definately stay again. Very clean!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013

A fab and very modern hotel in the centre of Liverpool accessible for all the attractions. The interior is stark and white when entering but when you get used to it, it's quite cool!
My nine year old was excited by the Xbox in the foyer which came in very handy to entertain her when we were having a quiet drink after a manic day!! There was also a 'rainy day' box of toys which we thought was a great idea.
We stayed for one night as a family of four and although the room was a bit of a squeeze having the pull out bed and a travel cot, it was fun!
My daughter is a bit of a fussy eater but thought the breakfast was amazing- nothing really out of the ordinary, just presented cleanly and lots of choice. Perhaps the swim before breakfast worked an appetite? Nevertheless, both children ate well which fuelled them for a few hours round the world museum.
Only slightly annoying thing was that we were told in reception that we could take the car out of the adjacent car park at no extra cost, and as our purpose for the trip was a family catch up, we were charged twice during the 24hours doubling the car parking cost, once to collect our daughter from her student accommodation, the other when leaving the city.
Didn't deter us though & we would stay again... gladly!!

I would have liked to have given a better review as some parts were very good but some aspects were very poor.
The rooms were clean and fairly recently refurbished; the bathroom with shower and basin was very good. I was very impressed with the heated mirror and the lighting in the bathroom.
Having a room which overlooked the street meant that despite the double glazing, the noise from outside was intrusive, right through the night - the streets are quite lively from the pubs and clubs. The air conditioning was also a little noisy.
Breakfast was a buffet with a well prepared and presented selection of all the hot and cold options that you could want. This was very good.
All the food available at other times was distinctly indifferent and over-priced. With the range of food available in the cafes and restaurants outside the door they obviously don't think it is worth trying very hard! Drinks in the bar were expensive too.
Internet in the room is not free, in fact at £9 per day it was an unbelievable price considering that most other places offer it free. That alone would make me go elsewhere. As a concession there were a couple of Macs in the very noisy foyer with 20 minutes of free access, hardly a substitute!
It might sound petty but the combined television/radio in the room did not have Radio 4 as an option, and as the radio reception inside the building is poor, that was also a major minus point for me.
The lifts were fast and necessary as it is a tall building but one of them was unreliable and broke down several times. I expect that has been fixed.

Not a bad experience, the hotel bedroom was good and bed comfortable.

The reception bar and restaurant are all a bit crushed and crammed

Notices are in the lift concerning the excess use of breakfast times

Not a bad experience, but think I will be elsewhere next time

Room Tip: O k if you need a room, for business All a bit squashed in

Stayed two nights at this city centre hotel - close to Liverpool One (5min walk) and the Albert Dock (10min walk). Room clean and staff friendly. Boys made good use of the pool 4 times in 36 hours! Self service breakfast had a good selection of food to keep everyone happy! Would stay again.

Standard Novotel hotel, my room was near lift but reasonably quiet, strangely toilet and sink/shower were in separate rooms so not very hygienic, standard decor, free internet access at a reception computer, breakfast area is directly by lobby so walking into hotel to the smell of burnt toast wasn't so inviting on my first morning arrival, otherwise quite a good choice of hotel close to train stations and airport bus routes etc

Brilliant hotel, good room, good breakfast, good facilities. The hotel is located in a central position. We had a family room which was adequate for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. The staff were very friendly too. We took advantage of using the gym, steam room and pool.

Stayed here for a conference. Nice clean and modern hotel. Rooms well kept and spacious. Breakfast very good too. It occupies a central location less than 5 minutes walk from Liverpool central and 10 from Liverpool Lime Street. University (which I was visting) about 20 minutes away. A female colleague, however, had an unwelcome visitor in the middle of the night when the hotel tried to accomodate a second person in the same room. Something had gone astray with their registration apparently but still that is pretty inexcusable. That said, only irritations for me were a fire alarm in the middle of the night - a guest's fault by all accounts - and a front door that revolves so slowly but canot be pushed that it takes a ridculous time to get around it. Would stay here again. Recommended.
