“Good restaurant for watching the football with family”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2012

We have eaten here a few times but this was the first time when Liverpool were playing. it was also a Saturday evening so not surprisingly a little busier than we had witnessed previously. Nonetheless, we were made to feel really welcome. With 2 young children, the fears of a raucous atmosphere were allayed quickly by the "compere" who was orchestrating 1st goal scorer and colouring competitions for the little ones.
Food itself was as good as usual. The pizzas in particular were gorgeous and reasonably well priced. This isn't a budget place and process reflect that, but the standards are high and the décor / facilities match it.

Thoroughly recommend it for lite bites or something more substantial, either daytime or early evening. Not sure i'd choose it as a romantic meal venue for food with mates or family, its spot on.

“The only let down was the service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 23, 2012

Had looked up on this restaurant online before travelling over to Liverpool so expected alot. Food was beautiful. Could not fault it! Peppercorn sauce and steak were so tasty. Only let down was that the restaurant was very quite and service was still very slow and the waitress didn't smile once or even look like she wanted to be there. Atmosphere was bland but the food made up for it. Would reccommend to a friend.

“Average at best...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 22, 2012

It's a nice place, even though it is essentially a sports bar. Went with a friend for something to eat as a 'catch up and happy Christmas' sort of thing. It was midweek, so we weren't expecting it to be busy, but we didn't expect there to be just ourselves, and one other table in there.
Drinks are expensive, which we didn't really expect - a bottle of sparking rose (martini) for £17.00 -you can get a lot nicer on the Albert Dock, or other venues in Liverpool for only a little bit more....Food was okay, can't really go wrong with burgers. Considering it was so quiet, the service was extremely slow, and rather miserable. It was overall, disappointing, especially as I had recommended it to my friend, after having a lovely lunch in there a couple of months ago. Wouldn't recommend again, and not sure I would go back in a hurry.

“Just cant get enough!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 18, 2012 via mobile

Great food, good value and friendly staff.

Visited many times and this place is consistent.

They use high quality produce which makes a huge difference. Its one of my favourite restaurants in the UK.

“A good sports bar”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012

If you want to take a piece of simple but tasty food while watching live football on television then you've come to the right place. Good sports pub atmosphere and reasonable price is what you can expect. Then, if you are a LFC supporter, everything becomes a little better because the owners are Jamie Carragher and Jonathan Flanagan. If you're lucky, Jamie pops up there from and to.
