We visited on Monday 16th September on a wet and windy night and expected to be the only people in the restaurant. Quite the opposite, the place was full downstairs and when we left people were waiting for tables.
We ordered papads and dips to start and my husband had a lamb starter. It was huge and very tasty he said. We then ordered 2 main courses, nan and a tarka dal side. The portion sizes were very generous and lovely. Mine was classed as quite hot and i started coughing as I had a cough at the time. One of the waiters came over and asked if he could tap me on the head, as he was concerned about the coughing. Apparently an old Indian remedy for coughing and it seemed to work. We also met AJ the owner who was great, vey friendly and happy to have us in his restaurant. We had a lovely evening and i would not hesitate to recommend. Next time we are in Liverpool we will definitely be back.... and finally, the peshwari nan was the best i have tasted in a long time!
