“It was an awful experience”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013

The only good thing I can say is the staff were helpful and friendly. Our first room the beds weren't made, the second smelt horrible and the mattresses were so old you could feel every spring. Our final room was no better. The shower door wasn't attached the beds were very uncomfortable, the hotel and rooms smelt very damp and awful. Breakfast is from 8am so we didn't try that as we needed to leave at 745, there was no flexibility with the time. Also it doesn't mention that it is in quite a rough area of Liverpool. All the 4 taxi drivers we used commented on the fact we had chosen to stay in such a rough area!! I would not recommend this to anyone and will not be going again.

Quite central and on a good bus service. Disappointed the Stanley Dock market isn't there any more. Hotel very comfortable with a fridge in room..handy for the wine! Staff more than helpful. Many thanks to the guy on the reception (sorry didn't get your name) for keeping us right with taxis etc.

Second night in Liverpool and we spent more time in the hotel bar than the city centre, great place if your up for a beer or 4 in the very late (early morning) bar, staff really friendly food good, only downside was the room was a bit small but clean, breakfast was good really busy and buzzing.

What a pleasant find! It is in a good location. The hotel is in an attractive building and the rooms are modern, comfortable and clean. The staff are welcoming and accommodating. The breakfast is very good. Secure parking and free wifi are a real bonus. Would recommend placing ashtrays/bins outside one of the buildings which had many fag ends littering the path (only negative of my otherwise very enjoyable stay).

it is a homely hotel and although not brand spanking new it is very clean. I stayed with my son to go the football match and anfield is about ten mins drive. the city centre is about 15 mins in the bus.
