Used to work as a paperboy many years ago at a shop which has long since gone. The steep as it says is steep, especially if you are pushing a buggy/wheelchair. Better to go to the top and walk down. There is so much to look at the, especially the sweet shop - full of old favourites, the Jews House, book shops, gift shops. Best of all look to the cobbles, I was always told these are the original ones which as a boy stretched up to the Newport Arch (one of the few Roman arches in Europe - worth a wlk to see it and follow the old Roman wall round back to the Cathedral. If you need any tips on where to go what to see message me I used to guide visitors round the city as a teenager and I return monthly to my home town.
