“"General life, work and how to solve the Palestine / Israeli conflict"”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2013

4 men arrived and selected comestibles accordingly. The paying one couldn't open a tab and noted this slight oddity. 2 of them had previously decided not to revisit a couple of years back, but they were getting old. Memories fades and opinions mellow. They agreed the food was fine, while gabbling about general life, work and how to solve the Palestine / Israeli conflict (watch this space). An average of £20 each for mains and 3 beers? Not bad stomach lining they said, as they stepped into the wasteland.

“Food very good, service poor,”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2013 via mobile

Visited about 4m Friday afternoon. No table service available although it was advertised at the entrance. Waited 10 minutes at an empty bar to be served. Ordered 2 starters. 2 mains and 2 drinks. Was then told that they had run out of Merloe but when I said an alternative would do, was told this was not possible as it had already been rung up in the till, they said they would find done and bring it over. Further 10 minute wait, wine came just before the food. Both starters and mains were bought out together so we had to send the mains back, when we had finished the starters we had to go to the bar to. Ask for the mains as there was no sign of them being bought out and no staff around outside of the bar, went to the ladies before departure, no lock on door, no toilet seat and the toilet paper dispenser was hanging off the wall. The only good thing was the food which was well cooked and nicely presented, suggest the chef finds somewhere else to work,

Sticky tables. Poor cleanliness. Poor customer service. Asked for tables to be cleaned waitress came with dry cloth and only wiped area in front of me even thought all our tables were dirty. Sald was just some lettuce. Avoid. Have been before and was alright won't be having food there again.

“Good food but drinks a little expensive for Lincoln”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2013

I had a very enjoyable meal of baby back ribs and my wife had the curry which she said was excellent and didn't taste as if it was mass produced. The price was excellent as we took advantage of a 50% off offer, which we received by email, having signed-up on their website. The price of a pint of Strongbow at £3.60 was a bit excessive for this part of the country, bearing in mind you can buy the same round the corner at The Square Sail for £2.20. That said the combined price of the meal and drinks was still very reasonable. Worth knowing: Monday's are always 50% off all food and Tuesday they do a 2 for 1 offer on Curries.
