“Great place for bird watching”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2013

Great place for youngsters the bridge over the water is fun as is the walks around the center. There are many specis of different birds to spot from the lookout points and a really nice cafe for that warming cuppa.

“Natural World Centre, Whisby, Lincolnshire”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013

This was a most interesting place to visit and as I am disabled I hired one of the centre's scooters rather than my own. It cost £2.00 which was so reasonable. I drove for miles around the lakes and wildlife walks. If you are fit and able to walk it is a great place to visit and the children can find lots of activities to keep them occupied. There is a very nice restaurant with lots of tables inside and out. Unfortunately, the hot weather of the previous day (and the day following) departed and it was quite chilly driving on the scooter. However, I was going along the trails for almost two hours and I think I could have stayed longer but my partner was waiting at the gift shop for me. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

“Interesting enjoyable place to walk”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013

A mixture of lakes and walking areas. There are various paths of differing lengths, some of which are suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs. There is a nice café that also offers hot meals and vegetarian options along with the usual cakes and drinks - all at very reasonable prices. The café has seating both inside and outside and if you sit outside you can see across one of the lakes. There is also a kiosk that sells ice cream and a small gift shop.

The views from some of the walks are beautiful. The last time we visited it was hot and sunny and the reflections on the lakes were magnificent.

In all the times we have visited we have never seen any of the less common birds that are noted on the information board though.

It is a free attraction with just a small parking fee.

“Refreshing”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2013

We had a lovely long walk in the morning. We didn't see any of the birds mentioned in the explanation boards, but plenty of dragonflies! There are different walks of different lengths, it's calm and relaxing, and has gorgeous views.

“Interesting walks - take binoculars!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

We have been here a few times. There are different walks to take. The Visitor Centre shows how long each walk is and which ones are more suitable for wheel chairs and pushcahairs. There are bird hides along some of the routes. There is a really good cafe where prices are reasonable.
