“Great for kids.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2012

Lots to see and do for the little ones, we go every few weeks. Shame you can cycle round the lakes, they say it is a danger to wildlife, what bears crossing the path? Silly. Good sandpit, water play bit, climbing and eco info centre, love it.

“Three Generation”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2012

went for lunch and spent a couple of hours with my mother and daughter, daughter is nearly four and gets very engaged with all aspects.

daughter had sausage, chips and peas which she completed and was good value and well presented, had some cake and coffee and menu was nicely appealing. will be going back to try sunday lunch.

have been a number of times before always a good day out.

there isn't a fee but you do have to pay to park but it is only £1.00.

“Beautiful place and lovely time!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2012 via mobile

Happened to stumble across this place and so glad I did. It was lovely to spend the day walking around the lakes. The cafe and shop were very helpful; nice to be able to have a break and have something to eat and drink! With it only £1 to park and the entrance free it was sooo worth it for a day out. There were lots of families there and from what I could see the child facilities were excellent!! Highly recommend for a sunny walk.

“Lovely free place for some fresh air”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2012

Lovely place for a walk & lots of fresh air, there is a very large lake with bird watching shelters around it & a modern visitors centre with a small shop, toilets & local tourist information details. think its open all year round, its brisk in the Winter (we went in February!) A photographers heaven, taken some lovely photo's here.
There is a fab play area for children (and not so young!) with ropes, nets, tunnels & scrambling nets over the water
