I went here with my girlfriend for a nice evening out. On arrival we were immediatley greeted with a freindly welcome & shown to our pre-booked table. The menu was well laid out & had good variety. The wine list was plentiful too, but was a tad on the expensive side - as it was around £16 for a bottle of wine that usually costs £7 from the shops!
We ordered a set meal for two, but asked if we coudl change one of the items for the barbecued honey pork, which was immediately greeted with a smie & a nod. We also ordered two extra dishes as they sounded so tasty.
The wine was chosen & quicly arrived with an explanation of what it was. It was pleasing to see the staff happily appear whenever my wine glass was getting low, & for them to remove the bottle from its ice bucket, before requesting to re-fill the glass.
The meal was very quick to arrive & was all of high quality. The honey pork was the star of the show, so we were very pleased to have swapped that into our meal for two. We both had second helpings & there was still some left over when we decided that we had eaten to our limit.
It was ammusing to hear the waiter comment (as he cleared our plates away from the table), that he wasn't suprised that there was some food left over - as we had ordered enough for four people! We took this in good humour, but this could have been seen as being a little rude.
Threre was a nice choice of sweets to follow the main course, which we both thoroughly enjoyed & made for a great end to a satisfying & memorable meal.
The restaurant itself was very clean & had nice decor. The staff were all very friendly & paid attention from the moment we arrived, to the moment we left. They even asked us to wait inside, whilst the owner went outside to see if our taxi had arrived!
Would defiently visit again.
