We ate at La Vida with a Groupon voucher, the meal included starter main and dessert. My husband had a king prawn dish with a garlic and chilli sauce - delicious and I had caprese which was ok but unremarkable. For the mains we both went for chicken with two different sauces both of them were delicious and freshly made, they came with potatoes and vegetables included. We were quite full but just had to try the desserts, husband had home made tiramisu which needed some alcohol to really set it up, I had the cheesecake, again home made and delicious. We liked the ambience and decor of the restaurant and will definitely go back, I must have gone past this place a thousand times and never noticed it but it is definitely worth a visit. The service was great, when we were deciding over the deserts I really wanted ice cream but they insisted I try the cheesecake on the house as well, they were charming people and really helped the ambience of the evening. Our daughter came with us and did not eat but she was made very welcome (she had just come back from overseas and had some jetlag - no reflection on the food). All in all a better than expected experience and one we will be very happy to repeat, even without a Groupon voucher. They also do theatre special menus, they are within walking distance of Curve. Mains were around £12 - 14 which we thought was very good value.
