“''Excellent first visit''”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2012

From the moment we walked through the door receiving the most friendly of welcomes, all four of us felt so comfortable as we where seated at our table, soaking up the beautiful decor and ambiance. We made our choice of dishes, helped ( for some ) by the waiter who really knew the very extensive menu well. Lunch was absolutely faultless and served to the highest of standards.
We would certainly recommend this restaurant and will visit again.

“High quality dining from a fascinating menu at very reasonable prices”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012

We chose Everest Dine because of the interesting menu and strong recommendations on Trip Advisor and we were not disappointed. The spacious, well decorated premises and the presentation of the tables felt like an expensive restaurant, but the prices were very reasonable. We had a substantial meal for four people for £75, including drinks. The restaurant staff were delightful - friendly and attentive but not obtrusive. The menu was very interesting and we could not resist trying some of the Nepalese dishes (although many Indian dishes were also on offer). The presentation and taste of the food was top notch. Highly recommended...and one final tip is to try the very tasty Nepalese Khukuri beer.

After visiting a few months ago we came back with family and enjoyed a lovely meal. Great service and a much appreciated free sweet which was something we would never have chosen to try and was therefore a great new food experience!
Will definitely return

“very pleasant experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2012

This was our second visit to Everest Dine and were very surprised to find that the waiting staff remembered us. We were met at the main door by a lovely girl in traditional Nepalese costume - a nice touch. Staff were extremely courteous and friendly. Service was very attentive without being invasive, especially from the head waiter.

The food was absolutely beautiful, sensible portions and very nicely presented. On this occasion the naan bread was particularly good. There were nice little extra touches too like the hot towels and desserts. Prices are very reasonable also.

The only criticism would be the restaurant's position. It is in a very quiet area with not much passing trade. I feel it would be better suited to a more vibrant part of the city but nevertheless it is well worth looking for. On this visit the restaurant was very quiet and therefore lacking in atmosphere, something which might deter people. However the quality of food and sevice more than made up for it.

Would thoroughly recommend a visit. We look forward to many more.

“First time and wonderful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2012

I visited Everest Dine on Saturday evening for the first time having read good reviews on TA and in local papers which had piqued my interest.

We parked up right outside and went into a fairly quiet restuarant but tastefully decorated and had a nice welcome from the waiter who showed us to our seats.

We had some poppadoms and pickle tray to start which were lovely and a little different to the usual dips you get, one a carrot pickle was fantastic. I had a starter of Lamb Choela which was like nothing I've had before; minced lamb on a bed of crunchy baked rice which had a unique texture and flavour and will be a starter I will be having again next time! My wife had a nepalese Gurkhali Soup with vegetable dumplings, full of fresh flavour and aromas.

For main I went for a nepalese curry called LKK which was medium strength and once again fanastically balanced with different spices and flavours whilst my wife had a Haryali Chicken curry also commenting on how tasty it was.

With a couple of drinks, sides the meal came to £34 which compares really favourably to other places in Leicester where the food is nowhere near as good. Word must be getting around because by the time we left (8.45pm) the restaurant was full and the atmosphere was great.

Highly recommended and it is on my list of places to return, I just hope that the word spreads quickly so that it stays open for years and years to come.
