We have stayed at Badgers Mount many times over the last 17 years, always experiencing first class service, in a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere, with personal attention from the host and hostess, and their experienced staff. Two years ago the hotel was taken over by new management, and I can only describe the difference as phenomenal. The property was allowed to deteriorate into what can only be described as a flee pit. The disgraceful impolite management attitude was only surpassed by the dilapidated condition of the rooms, and the appalling service. Faulty Towers is a veritable holiday dream by comparison. That contemptuous individual should be booked into an appropriate HMP Hotel for the misdemeanours he has committed. However, having heard that this inexperienced excuse for a businessman had now been legally removed, his deliberate destruction to the property arrested, and a massive renovation project to salvage and restore the hotel to its former glory, had been undertaken, we booked in again. What a fantastic surprise. Back are the owners, Jill and Ivor, offering, once again, their personal brand of friendly excellent customer service. The hard work that they were forced to embark upon to repair their own property has paid off. A stunning new modern reception area, an extension to the bar, and a complete clear up of the grounds and swimming pool, removing the filth, rubbish, broken furniture, rotting rancid carpets, and dog excrement, left by the previous “manager”, is only the start of this long overdue process to return the property back to a first class hotel. Well done Jill and Ivor, welcome back, we’ve missed you. Good luck with your project, we will see you again, very soon, and inform everyone that Badgers Mount is back in business.
