Upon arrival we were told that about 8 dishes from the menu were not available--not a good start... The interior of the pub was lovely and quite has a nice homely feel to it. The service was very slow but when the food came out, all was forgiven! My chicken, leek and mushroom pie was a decent portion and it was flavoured well and the pieces of chicken were huge. I ordered sussex pond pudding and although the pastry was fantastic, the filling was incredibly bitter and I had to scoop it all out. The bill came to £25 for 2 mains, a dessert and 2 drinks so quite reasonable value.
