Again, a last minute booking.....
noise - if you're at the side fronting on to the Shell garage - you have to keep the window close or enjoy the lorries filling up and revving out.
flat space - limited in the room.
kettle - yes please!
hanging space - if anything more than a couple of shirts, things are going to get rumpled.
Telly was typically Accor, with its usual limited and fuzzy channels.
Lots of noise, revving of engines, shouting outside, mud all over the place.
PRICE! £33 for a night......
Really friendly and efficient check-in. Felt safe with the stairs/lift being activated by key-card. Free parking and the Shell garage & 'food-court' lent itself to provisions. The room was great, provisos above. Loved the 'utility' of the room. Bed was comfy, endless hot water in the great shower, could have spent ages in there. Convenient access to the M1.
At the price, I don't think you can really complain about anything.
Love the concept, most of the issues outwith the hotel's control, applaud IBIS for grabbing the ETAP nettle.
Try and specify at the back of the hotel, so not facing on to the Shell garage,
