A group of 8 friends for a flying (not very) late night Saturday meal following a gig just round the corner. The kitchen closes at 11pm, which seemed pretty early to me on a Saturday, so we just made it. Its a very nice place, which, as other reviewers have stated has a sophisticated central London feel rather than central Leicester. We didn't have the opportunity to really explore the place, but it seems to have various different areas to eat. However, given the time factor (we arrived at 10.45) it was straight to the table and place the order. The staff were very attentive, but it was not a rush which was good given the circumstances and the restaurant does have a very good atmosphere. The menu has a wide selection of reasonably price dishes, many standards but a few different choices were available. I always feel you get a good idea of an Indian from the popadoms which were excellent - thin and crispy with a interesting selection of pickles. Not the usual Mango out of a jar! We dived straight into the main course. The guys all had Garlic Chilli Chicken and the ladies had a selection of vegetarian. A selection of side dishes and Naan bread. It was all very good, spicy but excellent quality, good rice and side dishes. I know we didn't have starters but at £20 per head it seemed reasonable value. Based on our brief visit I would recommend this restaurant and we will go again.
