“Mon-Fri Sept Break”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2013

I was persuaded to have a last minute Blackpool break with my aunt. She had stayed at this hotel before, so we booked. i was pleasantly surprised. This hotel is not like the usual Blackpool hotel - i.e. not too clean, certain odours and basically unpleasant. The Boston Hotel is in a totally different league and most certainly outshines its competitors in the food, bedroom, bathroom, lounge and staff stakes. Recently renovated the decor is top-notch, the entertainment provided is mainly good (though there was a 'comedian' who made me feel very uncomfortble with his 'not politically correct' routine. Unacceptable.) Singers and bingo callers were very entertaining though, good interaction with guests. The Boston provides an invaluable Blackpool transport pass. We used this to the full and couldn't really add up how much money we had saved by using this on the new trams and buses - a real bonus! All in all if I were to return to Blackpool The Boston is the hotel I would most definitely book. Just one thing to note though - having to fight through the smokers at every entrance/exit to the hotel was really off-putting. I noticed some space at the side of the hotel - perhaps a smokers area could be constructed there? Some kind of small shed-type structure with benches? Just a thought.

We are so pleased your aunt managed to persuade you to join us hear at The Boston Hotel.

Blackpool Promotions over the last few years really have invested heavily in all there hotels in Blackpool and it really does show.

As you stated the entertainment is first class and we are pleased to announce

JOE LONGTHORNE will appear and perform exclusively at both The Boston & Royal Seabank Hotels over the winter months and into the new year, for more information call 01253 351451

Yes the free Blackpool Transport travel pass really does add value and we are pleased to hear you found it so useful.

We think a smoking shelter is a great idea and is at present being looked into.

Just back from 5 day break in Boston Hotel. Room very small but spotlessly clean and cosy. Decor a bit tired and could do with a make over, but, with the amount of guests it can't be easy to keep on top of everything. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Meals basic but adequate with a reasonable choice. Porrage could be a bit thicker, you could almost swim in it on Friday, but, that's just personal preference. This was our first time here, but, it won't be our last.

Hello

The team was sad to hear that you will not return to the hotel but wish you luck in finding more suitable accommodation on your next visit to Blackpool.

Aideen our entertainments manager is one of the company's most popular acts and I can honestly say that the first thing many of our guests ask on check-in is what nights she will be working.

Regarding the lift yes it only takes two people at one time but you should never have to wait much more than a few minutes for it to return to the floor you are waiting, and we also have stairs to each floor.

Best wishes

My wife and I spent 5 days at this Hotel as a birthday treat, the service is really excellent, the staff are all very friendly and the food is excellent with plenty of choices. This is the second time we have stayed in this Hotel because we liked it so much the first time,it is located in the quiet part of Blackpool and ideally situated for either bus or tram.We booked through Blackpool Promotions and there service was as usual excellent,as part of our package we received free passes which worked on both buses and trams and made getting around so easy.

Just back from fantastic weekend at Boston Hotel (23rd to 26th August) We were in room 312 which was spotless and modern. Every meal was better than the last and staff are buzzing around all day and evening making your stay here a good one. As the saying goes ' if Carlsberg made hotels ....' They even managed to lay on great weather for us. Whole atmosphere in hotel was brilliant which encouraged all guest to mix. Can't wait to return in future.

Room Tip: Room 312 at front has great views of prom and great place to people watch. Room was modern with good...

Just back from a weekend staying at the hotel, great hotel really well worth the money, the staff were very very professional & friendly.
Lisa & Olly made us feel at home and nothing was too much bother.
The meals, service and entertainment were all first class, one exception was the comedy act who upset quite a few of the guests with references to teen suicides not funny what so ever however all the other acts were brilliant. All in all we highly recommend The Boston Hotel.
