“Second to none!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2013

We booked the Dragonfly at the very last minute after deciding to stay in Blackpool for 1 extra night, and the best thing I can say is, we left wanting to stay longer!
Firstly, Adam and Paul are fantastic hosts, it's hard to comprehend they've only been in the business since February???
Nothing was too much trouble for either of them with Adam taking time out to play Jenga with my little boy Shay.
They even provided us with a speaker/amp for us in the bar for an impromptu drunken 80's session! (sorry we kept you up lads!)
The room was perfect and I couldn't think of anything that could improve it?
Really comfortable bed and even an I pod docking station...it's the extra little touches that make it special and the breakfast is as good as it gets with even Marmite on offer, but unlike Marmite you won't love or hate your stay at the Dragonfly...you'll just love it!
So...thank you Paul and Adam from Shaun, Shelli and Shay (2013 Jenga champion)
We shall return! : )

We stayed for 3 nights in this warm and friendly bed and breakfast. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable! The breakfast was excellent and had my first gluten free full English breakfast with a sausage and toast without being at home!! Paul and Adam are great hosts and we enjoyed sitting in their bar drinking cocktails before our nights out. Adam is also a great chef and provided us with a meal on our first night. It is a good location and will definitely stay here again. Can highly recommend it.

We stayed at the Dragonfly for a couple of days, Paul and Adam were really good hosts, friendly and welcoming, the rooms were bright, very clean and very comfortable, the breakfast in the morning was more than just good it was great, there was nothing they wouldn't do for you, and i would hightly recommend this hotel, Alice and I would have not hesitation in booking again, and probably will.

Room Tip: I stayed in a larger single en-suite and it was really really good.

We stayed here for two nights, we were made to very welcome upon arrival and even checked in earlier than meant to. The hosts were very helpful, the whole place was very clean. The full English in the morning was delicious not greasy one bit. They have a cosy little bar area where we had a few drinks before going out in the evening. The location was perfect, five minute walk to funny girls, and five minutes to the front. Would defiantly recommend this and would stay again.

Paul and Adam are excellent hosts and friendly and helpful. Their guest house is modern and rooms are lovely and inviting. It is set in a great location close to all the highlights and attractions of Blackpool. Adam cooks the best breakfast and will definitely stay again and recommend it. I thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013 via mobile

Stayed Wed tenth April and checked out Friday morning.
Stayed in small, smart, double room(3). Nice bedding, good bed. Comes with kettle, tea, coffee, bottle of water, biscuits. TV gets most channels, but just needs retuning.
Bathroom clean, with complimentary soaps. Shower needed work, as a soap tray had broken off (sharp). Spoke to owner, who assured me believably that it would be dealt with.
English breakfast is a breakfast to me, but all cooked well. The sausages are always a good indication of a good breakfast and I was impressed. Black pudding was cooked well (hate it overcooked). I loved the sausage.
They have a little bar with a very smart and likeably quirky lounge (nice murals).

Overall a very good stay.
Short distance fom the beach/ Promenade.

As I stated in my review in April 2012, I would definitely stay here again. Whilst now under new ownership, it has not lost any of its appeal. There were 8 of us in total over 5 rooms and I guess we were quite demanding in our requests for early starts and breakfast to go etc, but the owners were amazing and accommodated all of our requests. They were so lovely.
The weather was so bad on the Friday that we stayed in the bar/lounge area and had a great evening with very reasonable priced drinks.
Suggestions: Two of my female friends stayed in the attic room and there was only one small mirror in the bathroom which made getting ready difficult, there needs to be another mirror near a plug for drying/styling hair etc. The water pressure in the shower made hair washing difficult and it was also a bit chilly up there, but the weather was very bad.
Thanks for a great weekend guys.
