“STAFF R RUDE, IGNORANT & HOTEL IS FILTHY, WOULDNT STAY FOR FREE”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2009

i booked my 60yr old disabled parents into this hotel cos of the location, when they arrived they were advised they had been moved 2 a sister hotel behind new world, which was away from original hotel that was booked & they expected a disabled couple to go to top floor of the hotel & a box room wif a single bed for 2 adults. My parents phoned me distressed & i spoke to owner (steven) who adv that they would not be moved & if they didn't like it they could [--]OFF, thats customer service for you. I advised him they should have had the decency to advise us of the change before we arrived & he stated he didnt have to. He also had cheek to keep £80 dep & charge £50 cancellation after throwing us out of hotel. I would advise anyone to stay away from this hotel, if he can do this to elderly disabled what would they do do a younger people. This hotel is a disgrace & i have also been in touch with trading standards & health & safety as this hotel is filthy & to expect anyone to stay in this is beyond. I have been in touch several times with Steven & each time he tells me to [--] OFF & hangs up the phone. I am appalled by his behaviour & i will also be enclosing this review to local Blackpool newspaper & other local newspapers to advise people to stay away. If you decide to go to this hotel then you only have yourself to blame.

When me and my husband arrived at the hotel, well what we thought was the hotel, it was actually a building behind it which we were disapointed at because when you choose a hotel on the coastline thats where you expect to stay, they xharged the deposit on my bank card with which they had no authorization, then they took us to a single room with which they had somehow squeezed a double bed in it was absolutley tiny but it was clean and comfortable and alot of thought went into the decoration, and it served the purposed of just being somwhere to sleep while we enjoyed Blackpool,
There were 2 young boys taking care of breakfast they did a good job and where quick however the food its self was obvously quite cheap, most of seemed to be either out of a deep fat fryer or a tin. i recommend to anyone to ask what is in the food before ordering, at checkout the service was good the manager was very friendly and overall we do not regret our stay i would say it suits people on budget

On entering our room the smell was so bad we bought our own can of odour killer which we had to use often. The dust on the vase and the dirt by the side and under the bed was unbelievable for a hotel. I know this hotel was cheap but that is no excuse for the rooms to be so dirty. The only good point was the breakfast which was very good. Will never use this hotel again. We were at the back of the hotel and all 4 nights were disturbed by noise.

A group of 10 girls stayed at this hotel in August 09 for a hen due. Hotel was dirty the staff especially the owner was exceptionally rude.... at one point even telling us we would not be staying at the hotel if we were noisy (laughing on outside our room in the middle of the day!) Lots of hotels specify no hen or stag parties if you do accept then understandably there will be a little noise as with any kind of large group!! we were certainly not running round making a lot of noise! The hotel wasn't very clean with tiny bathrooms, in our room the shower head broke off mid shower! Breakfast was cold with tinned mushrooms and one of the girls in our group saw staff take a left over sausage of someone's plate and put it back in the pan to be served again!

Charges 5 pound parking which is not mentioned when booking, and you have to leave your car keys with the staff as you end up parking a few people in! Is not very central about a 20/25 minute walk to the central pier!

Would not recommend this hotel to anyone!

Stop Read this review before y read others!!!!!!

My husband and Is stayed at this Hotel July 2009 and after reading previous reviews we were a little apprehensive, however no need to be. We Booked the Manhattan room and were pleasantly surprised in the room, all I can say is WOW WOW WOW. The room was so thoughtfully decorated with personal items of the owners, who I may add are well travelled and articulate people. The hotel was welcoming and nothing to much trouble, Stephen and David made our stay so special and welcomed us like we were family. The hotel has lots of thought behind it and many Stories to be told about them. If you are looking for a wild weekend then don’t book this hotel, (there are lots of seedy tacky hotels around for that) but if you’re looking for a warm welcome, fantastic wonderful items from around the world then BOOK BOOK BOOK. Breakfast was amazing, cereal, toast and cooked breakfast with no grease and very well presented. Stephen and David could not do enough for their guests. We will be going back in August for the weekend and have recommended to our friends and family already.

We stayed here on the april bank holiday. The Owner was very friendly.
However our room was dirty ,rundown small. The shower room was so small, it was difficult to even dry yourself. After arriving we found that for some reason there was toilet tissue in our tea box...strange!! The staff are very friendly ,but this doesn't make up for the state of the hotel.
