Just spent five fabulous nights at the Glenwalden Hotel; on arrival we were greeted by Ian (the owner) and from that point on, our every need was catered for down to the last detail. We were made so welcome and nothing was too much trouble.

We stayed in the Deluxe Room 5 with fantastic views over the Irish Sea; it's a large room with a huge and extremely comfy bed, the cleanliness cannot be faulted and is obviously down to the dedication and pride that Ian and Helen have for their business.

Most importantly the breakfast; good choice of cereals, fruit juice and a full English breakfast cooked fresh and as you like it with eggs of your choice, toast coffee/tea or even porridge if you like, always served pipping hot and with a cheery smile to start your day from either Helen or Ian.

We were so impressed and were unable to find the slightest fault with the Glenwalden Hotel we booked another stay for next year before we left. Superb hosting and such friendliness is hard to find these days.... 10 out of 10 for Helen and Ian.

PS ....the cheese and onion toasties available from the licensed bar were to die for.

Thanks again for a great stay, can't wait to go back!

Just returned from a three day break in Blackpool.Stayed at the Glenwalden hotel which we booked after seeing it on "Four in a Bed"Received a warm welcome from Ian and Helen, the new owners of the Glenwalden. The hotel has a warm and friendly atmosphere with a homely feel to it.Our room was immaculately clean with a comfy bed and a great sea view.Breafast was fantastic with plenty of choice . We opted for a full English every day (we were on holiday after all)
This hotel ticks all the boxes,Great hosts, great location and value for money.I would definitely recommend it to my family and friends.Would also recommend The Papparazi (Fantastic Italian restaurant a stones throw from the hotel )

Stayed at Glenwalden for 2 nights as a family. The new owners are new to the hotel. The tram stops just up the prom and was easy to use. I bought a tram day ticket, and mostly we walked the pleasure beach took us an hour to walk to, but this did the children good. The bedding was very clean and tidy. There was no soap in the bedrooms toilet and there didnt seem to be a bathroom down stairs for general use. The hostess was very very sweet. I would use them again.

We stayed for 2 nights with our 7 month old baby in the family room which had room for a cot which was provided. We was made to feel really welcome and can't fault anything about our stay. Thank you to Ian and Helen for having us, will definitely go stay again. Ray, Michelle & Ethan.

Myself and my family have just arrived home from a weekend at Blackpool, we stayed at the Glenwalden hotel, the hotel itself was spotless and the full english breakfast was excellent, the rooms we stayed in were warm and welcoming after a day out, Ian and Helen made us very welcome, I would recommend this hotel to my family and friends and will return myself next year and stay for a little bit longer, I would like to thank Ian and Helen for making us feel so welcome.

For my 8yr olds daughter's Birthday treat we went to meet Spounge Bob Square Pants at Peasure Beach Blackpool. Travelling from Eastbourne we needed a two night stay in Blackpool.. We couldn't have wished for a better place to stay.

Helen and Ian were absolutely lovely. Very caring and kind people who made us feel like we were at a home from home.. Very clean, cosy and spaciaous room. Comfy Beds too!!! The kids loved it so did we.

Tasty Breakfast in the morning with an amazing choice. Cosy bar in the evening in a very lovely lounge with fireplace. Beautifully situated away from the nosie with brilliant views.. We used the trams and also enjoyed a lovely walk along the prom. Will definately be returning as Helen and Ian made us so welcome. Totally reccomend this Hotel.:))) Not forgetting what brilliant value it was!!!
Thank You for looking after us and making our Holiday.
